I was going along the seafloor in Alpha Sapphire, just trying to get somewhere but not super urgently so I couldn't be bothered wasting my money on repels, when I encountered this purple-shelled Clamperl. Chikorita is genuinely my favorite Johto starter. It's mostly nostalgia, I suppose, but it was the one I picked as a kid and never really regretted it. Is it great in battle? No, but it didn't really need to be since I wasn't competitively battling. It was good enough for a playthrough team and I like its design more than the Cyndaquil and Totodile lines.
