Wow, really excellent job. Thanks for sharing. We spent the last 2.5 years building out our 5x10 cargo camper conversion It's short on the inside, 4.5 feet, and fits in our garage. We have over 3 TB of video and pictures we hope to start posting soon. A daunting editing task ahead. Much of our inspiration came from channels like yours. thank you!

I have watched many of your video blogs. Learned a lot about building. The one thing that I have to ask. Would you ever pull a trailer this size with a Subaru Outback?

Man that’s a tough one. Right now it weighs close to 3000lbs. I’m not sure what an outback can pull but I’d say if it 4000-5000lbs then you should be good to go. My truck says it can pull 5000lbs but I would be very nervous to pull that much. I would highly recommend installing brakes no matter what though. I would maybe check with other outback owners?

Did you have to do a lot of welding or did you use rivets? This looks amazing, but idk how to weld lol.

Yeah the frame was welded steel tubing. With the panels glued and screwed on. I’d recommend just picking up a cheap Chinese mig welder on Amazon and experimenting. I think I paid 150$ for my mig gas welder in Amazon clearance section and then bought the gas bottle and cart. 400-500$ and your up and welding. If I can do it It’s a pretty easy process 😄 Just try it you won’t go back! 👍

Can you still see behind it when towing?

No not really. I can see down the sides but not as much as before. I bought tow mirrors and tried them but really didn’t like it I found the tow mirror too small to really work. I think I’m just going to install a camera on the back.
