The itchiness is normal your hair is going through a transformation! Misting your hair daily with water(purified water or spring water) mixed with a light oil may help. It has worked in our home. The kids,my husband and I all have locs and went through this.

Thanks for the tips! I actually cleansed my scalp and oiled this same day and it gave me some relief. I figured the itchiness is apart of the process, but it drives me nuts! lol

This was me last week. Take a cotton ball. Apple cider vinegar down your scalp. It stinks, but no more itching at all!!! AT ALL!!!

My hair does this too. I use a spray bottle to relax them only at the ends not the roots... I’m at month 5 and I am budding and they are getting thicker. #locjourney

Your looks LUSH and PROPER!! I hear what you say about 'weightless' hair. I have the same type of hair and believe I am able to reassure you that they shall hang/sway as you desire. All the best from London 9 months loced and loving it ☺

I'm a new subscriber. I don't have lots, but I have been obsessed with them for quite some time. I just haven't made the commitment just yet. Thanks for sharing your loc journey with us. Your locs look nice.

Hi, i started mine off with two strand twist. And i can tell you now it’s not going to start actually hanging until about 6months in of retwists. I wanted to give up but i trusted the process and it’s going very well now. It’s hanging and everything. There will be shrinkage starting to show around 3 months also.

Glad i seen this. My 2 months loc’d will be tomorrow. 🥳 I got locked October 12th & the transformation my hair has done within 2 months is definitely a growing process. I used to wash my hair every 2 weeks & washing now once a month or every other month is so hardddd. Your locs are beautiful tho! 💜

Subscribing! I’ve always done two strand twists to try and start my loc journey (for a few years now 😭) but always chickened out and went back to other styles but I’m officially starting and your videos are definitely helping me

Hi am new to your channel, I too am starting the loc journey however I have the assistance from my mom she has locs aswell, I've only twisted my hair 2 weeks ago and today the 3 week the loc it using the crochet tool to loc it in from the roots now am told to keep my hands out for a few weeks and let it do its own thing......I can't wait to see what it looks like in a month or so.....my hair is just like yours it's soft and shrink up tho it has length but you can't tell and it's also light in weight....but frm my Jamaican roots am sure I'll get all the lectures lol....❤❤❤ you videos .

Love your hair. It’s beautiful. You hair is not hanging because you wear it up. When you wash it, if you leave it down it will hang. Hang in there!!!

Thank you!! I usually wear it down for a few days after I wash it and then it goes back into a bun lol. But Im going to work on wearing it down more.

Well all that nappiness is just good. Can I say tho, that if you have itchiness or flakes, there is something that you are sensitive or allergic too. Maybe in your oils or shampoo but it comes from something.

I started my second try at locs at the end of September. First time I hated the parting, I worked in quadrants and that wasn't cute. I had 96 twists. This time around I put thought it into my parting but now I only have 69 locs. I love them, but it's taking everything not to bother them. I gotta see how the back looks.

Your locs look amazing! Which way should locs be retwisted? And I want to dye my starter locs but don't know how 😂😂 I love your color! I started my locs on heat damaged hair and I did cut all the damaged part... I like it and glad I cut them

You said first twisted your hair you added braid hair. Can I add braid hair to make my twists longer and will it lock?
@SharmelLynnette
@SharmelLynnette 4 жыл бұрын
Hello, I only added hair to the heat damaged areas however most of the added hair slipped out within the first week. I honestly wouldn't recommend it. I still have 1-2 pieces in my head and I really don't see much of difference between the locking process. The main difference is the twists with the added hair feel a bit dry compared to my natural hair.
