It was honestly so refreshing to watch this! I'm an alto and will never be able to hit those notes she sang, but I've had to go through so much training to hit the notes I'm able to hit right now... seeing someone openly show how difficult it is to train their voice, but succeeding in the end, is so awesome! As for the latter bit... I think the reason why is that theres a lie and misconception that's common in (mostly Western) media that singing is some sort of deity-granted ability. It's sad, because if people try it and sound bad, they accept they dont have "the gift" and give up. When really, like most things, its just a skill people have to develop. It's pretty frustrating to be complimented on an ability as if it's luck or chance, rather than hard work that got you to that skill level.
