You'll find that very often, not only in lift controllers. Relays are still used today for some safety features or for switching smaller loads. For big loads (motors) you use contactors. These are in the logic cabinet here as well, you can hear them at startup and stopping of the lift.

Danke für das Verlinken meines Videos. Damals hatte ich noch Glück, dass ich einen der beiden Schlieren Aufzüge filmen konnte. Aus meiner Sicht waren dies aber nicht originale Schlieren Aufzüge, sie hatten einfach die typischen Schlieren Drulux Tableaus drin, aber sowohl die Türen als aber auch die Kabineneinrichtung ist vom, ich sage jetzt mal, Modell Schindler R-Series. Ob die Steuerung und der Antrieb auch vom Typ Schindler R-Series ist, kann ich nicht sagen.

Ja, du hast echt Glück gehabt. Da jetzt alles weg ist, kann ich natürlich auch nicht sagen, was da vorher technisch genau vorhanden war. Es ist durchaus möglich, dass da entweder eine Schindler Miconic E oder B, oder auch eine Schlieren Aconic als Steuerung drin war. Aber ohne Bilder aus dem Maschinenraum oder vom Kabinendach (Die verschiedenen Steuerungen haben jeweils unterschiedliche Inspektionskästen und daran kann man auch erkennen, was vorhanden ist) kann man das nich sagen.

I noticed they only used 6 ropes out of 8, and I so another Orona mrl lift (but 2:1 roping) used 4 out of 8. Is there any rule that guide you when to use the full potential and when you have the choice to reduce the amount of ropes?

The amount of ropes used is specified by Orona, though I do not know what the exact rules are. I don't see much Orona around here, so I don't have a lot of examples. However, I know another install with 630 kg capacity in 1:1 that only has 5 ropes but they seem to be of larger diameter than the ones here.

Sind ja 2 Anlagen hier in dem video - bei der einen wurde sich daran gehalten, bei der anderen nicht. Ich meine es geht um die Lastverteilung auf die beiden Lager links und rechts, sowas sollte meiner Meinung nach schon nach Vorgaben gemacht werden. Warum man das hier bei der einen Anlage nicht gemacht hat weiss ich auch nicht.

Does it need a long time to enter back into service after its been on inspection? I've came off one and it didnt enter service 2 minutes after the outer door was shut.

The Arca 3 takes a while to get back to normal, about 15-30 seconds. If you encountered a lift that takes two minutes, it probably has a reduced shaft head (do not go ontop these in full speed!) with the folding fence on the cartop. These lifts have extra safety relays to prevent the controller from going back to normal after the shaft doors have been opened. To get it back to normal operation, a reser switch in the control cabinet must be operated.

@@TheLiftDragon This one doesn't have a folding fence on the cartop.. I know what you mean but this one simply didn't want to go back into normal operation. I waited 2min outside and it just displayed "- -" on the display. I left the building and I don't even know what happend later on. Maybe it reset itself or it needs opening the logic cabinet and resetting there.. Do you have instagram or somewhere I can send you a picture or something like that so you can see :)

It especially concerns me since I don't remember the Arca 3 controller being interested in whether you open the shaft doors or not when switching back to normal. It just waits a certain amount of time, then relevels to the nearest floor. A photo of the cabinet could really help. Sehr spezielle Steuerung, hatte letztens eine Störung, Aussenrufe blockiert, Fehler 237, Aufzug fuhr nur noch auf Rückholung. Musste Sensoren auf Kabinendach CDA, CDB und Modul Sicherheitsschaltung ersetzen.

Die Türen besitzen Zugfedern, welche oben horizontal eingebaut sind. Man siehts im Video, wenn man sich genau achtet. Ist aber recht schwer, weil die Feder halt genau dieselbe Farbe hat wie die verzinkten Bleche oben an den Türen.

Why does a schindler 3300 instantly goes out of service if you open the top shaft door?

You probably got a 3300 with reduced headroom. The triangle key is monitored on these and to get the lift back to normal operation the system must be reset from the cabinet.

Orona wird so unterschätzt

Jo, Orona ist halt günstig und dafür eigentlich echt ok. Das Design ist toll, die Stabilität der Kabine ist aber nicht auf dem Level von Schindler oder Kone beispielsweise. Aber wie gesagt, da zahlt man ja auch mehr. Orona würde ich meinen bisherigen Erfahrungen nach jedoch sicher einem Otis Gen2 vorziehen.

This model of arca 3 orona is called X14 where it has 1:1 roping anchored from the top of the chassis. Another model is the X15 which has 2:1 roping. This model provides better ride comfort and stability. Great content btw 👌😄

​@@bernardsant54 Thx, I'm glad you like it! Good to know about the bigger version of this lift, I will definitely film it if I find one. But yet it seems that Oronas are very rare in Switzerland. I only know two companies that installed them here and one has now been bought up by AS Aufzüge (Subsidiary of Schindler), leaving only one left.
