Its awesome what your doing just watched the build of the canoe and i'm impressed, I also watched the video what your planning to do. I love this canoe it seems to work pretty dern good. btw once the canoe is exposed to more water those seams should expand and close right up and you shouldn't have any leaks at all, if your lucky. I think I'll be binge watching your videos for the next little while. cheers.

It’s hard to imagine those explorers back in the 1300’s and even earlier. Much earlier. They had no clue what was out there. They didn’t even know the earth was round 🤯 Brave AF
@johnshite4656
@johnshite4656 3 ай бұрын
They did know the Earth was round. What they didn't know was that the Sun was at the center of the Solar System. The circumference of the Earth has been known since the time of the Ancient Greeks, ca. 600 BCE or earlier. The "Flat Earth" movement is a modern phenomenon, like eating bath salts.

I recommend super strong, very light weight plastic long length rope and metal anchor that U can tide to sizeable tree or rock on beach land, so that Ur boat will NOT be washed away, plus beside anchors on both sides of Ur little wonder boat anchors.

Owesome video I like that you are so informative about what your doing, I didn’t think at all that the boat would have water soak through, maybe you should put some tar over the outside and then some canvas and maybe do that twice so the tar isn’t a problem for you but also in bushcraft *two is one and one is none. The canvas shelter on the boat was also a good add, maybe you could tar those holes up too. Thanks for the video

Mike, What species of fur bearing animal did you make your fur mantle out of ? I was going to make one out of American raccoon skins, but never got around to it. I did make a red fox fur hat that turned out well.
@kiwiguy4706
@kiwiguy4706 2 жыл бұрын
It's made from opossum, native to Australia & a protected species so I'm guessing he got the fur from NZ where they are a pest & are not protected

Those people near U boat must have paid tens of thousands of dollars to get that commercial made boat and insurance on it which is another thousands of dollars plus and expensive boat fuel, etc. compared to Ur lovely boat N sweat boat U build with Ur self and no boat can even come close beating Ur boat building cost, which basically nothing!

He was a long way south (N.S.W.) where the water is too cold for crocs. The further north you go you get closer to the equator and of course the water gets warmer and that’s where the crocs are.
