I've been catching up on some of your past videos, I really love watching them. I'm a bit too old for camping and sleeping on the ground, but I've been a camper all my life, and now both my sons are wilderness campers. You demonstrate many new wonderful tools and equipment that I wish had been available in my day. One thing I very much appreciate in your videos is the quietness. ie: no silly background music. Thank you.

I'm also disabled since being a passenger in a car accident. Prior to that, we camped with our church and it was so much fun- all the kids playing together in a huge clearing - our tents circled the clearing, in the wooded area. Just a lovely area. So now, I'm enjoying these videos and all the fond memories that come with them!

I'll have to remember the bushcraft handbag. I've got a similar one for my fireplace in my house. I live in a rural area of Texas, USA, and we have gotten a few very unexpected freezing nights without electric heat. The fireplace makes it comfortable. We have a bush/small tree weed that grows here called youpon. My goats love to eat the leaves, while I cut the branches for firewood. It keeps the woods under control somewhat, feeds my critters, and warms me.

Those stove fans are a godsend. We have a wood stove in the house we rent, and it used to be hard to heat the whole house in winter because of the odd layout of the rooms. But we purchased a fan for ours and it made a HUGE difference. Despite it's deceptively small size, it silently circulates heat even to the back rooms of a 1400+ square foot house, and allowed us to use less wood through the winter. One of the best investments we ever made. I can only imagine how well it circulates in a small space like a tent. Speaking of tents, yours is gorgeous -- I could happily live there. :D

I have to keep the door cracked for it to get enough air to burn, but that is very likely the wood I've used. Much better quality than I expected for the price. Now if I can just take it easy in the beginning it won't be 90 degrees in my blind. All in all it seems like a keeper.

Wow. Thank you so much for this content. This is such an awesome escape from the day to day. And it's beautiful watching the enjoyment you gain out of learning your setup. I only saw one thing to make advice on so hear it is... You commented that the stove only runs for a short amount of time before dieing out. You can absolutely get 5 to 6 hours of burn time out of it if you will almost close the damper on the front below the dore, as well as choke the damper built into the chimney. I'm pretty sure you and I have the same stove, but the concept applies to any wood stove. I have the woodland medium. You may find better longer lasting heating from the stove this way. Again thanks for the videos, and I just subscribed.

I find in these small stoves a base of either fire brick, clay or even dirt a good 1 1/2” thick in the bottom helps retain heat and prevents burning thru. Also you can use large diameter wood but I found you can use a 4” or 5” diameter log on one side and smaller 1” & 2” pieces layer against the larger piece burns very well and rather long. You can even use two 3” dia. Pieces and the smaller stuff burning between them. I discovered this using this same size and type tent when I was on Blue Ridge lake in Georgia for over a month. It was awesome. Thanks for sharing this experience with us. Your a heck of a camp cook. Keep em comin
