These are excellent tents, I went with a Winnerwell stove and had to remove the rings as the chimney is ever so slightly bigger. How did you like the stove? I thought having the flue coming out of the front would be in the way for cooking. That flue gets hot and is a potential to get yourself burned being right in front. It gets hotter than hell with my stove. I still need to do some more testing on my tent and stove set up. Those Russians sure can make a high quality tent. What did you think about the stove? I just thought having a hinged door with a wide square opening with a window was more practical with the adjustable combustion air door. You can't go wrong with these tents. Have a great day!

Bigos is an old traditional dish here in Poland. In theory it should be a vege dish since mainly served on Christmas Eve dinner. I prefer it done mostly from sour cabbage instead of fresh one. Good to make it on ribs, with a proper amount of kielbasa and forest mashrooms. By the way if you grind bigos it can be used as stuffing in pierogi (same - used during Christmas). Indeed winter food :) Thanks Andy for awesome content!

Wow what an amazing tent ⛺ 👏 it's definitely one of the best I've ever seen. Very well made and they have thought of everything when it comes to design. The stove is ok but a little big for the tent. Your smaller stove is better suited and I like the design better with the oven. You should compile a campsite cookbook with all your delicious recipes! You are quite the outdoor chef!! I've been asking but haven't had an answer-what has cooked that is complicated enough to need a recipe? Steak, fried potatoes and sauteed asparagus? Great meal, I love that he cooks from scratch but do you really need: Peel and cut up potatoes, put them in water and set to boil. Cook until mostly soft-add to preheated skillet with some oil, cook until brown. Etc...oil and season a steak. Add to skillet next to potatoes, cook as desired.

Keep in mind that I've only used it for a couple weeks, that being said, so far so good kzbin.infoUgkxAU9pOCSV9Y5JprooHvfxTpOrt4hx8uRM . Using it at 8 ft. by 8ft. deer blind that is insulated. I have to keep the door cracked for it to get enough air to burn, but that is very likely the wood I've used. Much better quality than I expected for the price. Now if I can just take it easy in the beginning it won't be 90 degrees in my blind. All in all it seems like a keeper.

Brilliant video! The part you didn’t use was actually a small vestibule. It was a bear setting it up, would have been easier if I had watched you set it up first. I’m only 5’5” and to set up the tent I attached a loop of paracord to the pole handle held it down with my foot and pushed up with both hands.

Your taste in tableware is profoundly nostalgic. I purchased a set of similar ware in Denver's biggest surplus store during 1975 when I was first setting out with permanent camping in the western US. I used a Cold Handle in those days. Swedewoods uses one here--- I saw another practitioner who does, too. They nested--- the blue-rimmed enamelware and the frying pan. I still have that stuff in my picnic hamper.

My folks on my dads side was timber working people , dad broke out in the oilfield. But I was tought how to slit a stick of firewood, the method you use is very hard on yourself, our chopping axes , mostly are double but axes . They're very sharp, the way bushcraft shows to sharpen the single bits , are sharpened like a metal cutting chisel, our hunting and timber axes are sharpened like a straight rasor. Someplace ive a old axe sharpen your style , I used then for nothing but splitting sticks of stove wood . I've busted stove wood a meter across, with I check on the back side of the stick , and 1 on the side near me and never hit the ground or a chop block below . Its something my dad and grandpa tought me how to . I'm just 64 , but I watched and listened to my folks.

Sheesh, you and Simon are upping your game since I began watching…with tents and food. I haven’t had a big ribeye steak since prices went insane, $18 per pound, where I live. Really nice, professional base camp setup. WHAT A TENT!!!!! Even the camo pattern on the tent was right on target. Thanks for wagging all that stuff there and back. Your videography is great. By the tone of its voice, I think you must have angered the fox. It wasn’t a happy fox. The humility that allows you to remove your hat is becoming. Like your hat too. Not that you need or want my approval, but, this is a fine video, well done. Wish I were there…to help you pack and haul that gear. Thank you for sharing. Texas

Ive noticed Russian things are made to last and are good quality. I got a bed from Russia, and it was the easiest, and best quality bed and matress ever. Real wood instead of the crap chip board stuff you get elsewhere. Same as that tent. It looks like a good quality one too. I love watching your videaos as it looks so relaxing, and your reviews are great. Thanks :)

I'd rather him try out Ukrainian tents and products to be honest. May also give less trouble with British government seing how sanctions and embargos are going.

The sound of whatever animal that was scared the crap out of me! I'd be up all night if I heard that outside my tent.😂 (Okay, just looked it up and it's a fox, but still would scare me shitless)

The tent looks very strong and warm. Why would anyone sleep under a tarp in the rain. It might be my age of 72 Yr. When I was younger, I would have enjoyed roughing it . Thanks for bringing back happy times.

Thats an Awesome shelter Andy, I saw Lonny a chap in Alaska has one of these, what a superb shelter if a little on the heavy side. I'm getting into a bit of Hot tent camping at the moment, but just a little bit lighter weight:) Everything about this setup is top draw apart. Year round comfort:) Sandy

Youre not wrong Sandy.. it was an amazing set up, those russians sure know how to deal with there siberian winters haha. Hot tenting is a great thing isnt it.. playing with the stove helps pass those long winter nights. I got your other comment... ill have to email you, it would be great to arrange something.. maybe for the new year.

I like foxes. We have one around our house and I hear him some mornings. I've heard them hunting and camping as well. I do some nuisance trapping for predators of turkeys, turkey eggs, and deer. I've caught foxes and I always let them go. Cool little critters
