Logan goes solo for a 2 night trip in the Old Forge region of the Adirondacks. He stays in a beautiful lean-to in very cold temperatures and makes some delicious home made ramen in the woods. A few small brook trout are caught and the views at this remote lake are ADK approved.

6 minutes in and I saw the lean to and the rock and instantly knew where that was. Props for lugging the canoe in there. First time there and the guys brought sleds back in there since it was a winter trip and it was not easy with the hills. Luckily I only had my pack but I felt bad for the guys with the extra gear.

It was a tough walk in, but such a great reward. I bet it looks amazing in the winter back there. That camp site is definitely one of my favorites now and I can’t wait to go back…with much less gear 😂. I appreciate you watching!

Solo trips are certainly different from going with others. By the end of every solo trip I can’t wait to do the next trip with my friends lol. It was a peaceful quiet trip. Thanks for watching!

In my experience, when you “throw the whole tackle box at them” the huge splash scares the fish away 😆

Very true. I wasn’t throwing anything that big though lol the splash was a beaver. I only casted small spinners and everything else was trolling a wobbler accept for when I fished from shore with a bobber set up.

Anytime, thanks for watching. I’ll definitely be going back there and bringing my paddle to use that stashed boat. It was in rough shape, but useable.

Man, when I saw you were at McKeever and had a canoe I knew you were in for a rough portage. I've been hiking in there for the past two months.

Just curious on how you like the new Cruiser,i figured your probably used to and loving that thing by now?

I like it because of how light it is compared to my Old Town Next, but it’s not as fast as I had hoped. If I increase my blade size it’ll definitely help. It’s long so it doesn’t turn well, however it tracks well, is stable, and I can bring plenty of gear lol. Thanks for watching!
