Those were some chunky ‘bows. I’ve never had a day of catching rainbows like that on a lake. I have done it in a few rivers though. My PB bow came out of Lake George. I have 4 PB’s out of there. I have the same Ranger net as you. It took me a while to get used to it but now I don’t know how I ever got by without it lol

@@ADKAddicts there used to be a great ice access point up in Bolton for ice fishing. I’d drive my Suburban out there if I saw comparable sized vehicles already out there. Get a chart and look at the perimeter of Dome Island. I won’t get any more specific than that but you don’t need me to. You could always ask Jeff at Fish307 if you know him. They have a new retail location. Jeff always treated me well. If you like fishing in a crowd, just go out in the village lol

@@ADKAddicts Back in the early 90’s Jeff made some of the finest ice jigs in the Daks sold under the name of Islander. That’s was way back when he owned the hotel and bait shop.

I've noticed you guys use Yeti soft coolers sometimes. Have you ever had issues with bears or other smaller criters and the soft coolers? Do you hang them in trees at night? Thanks!

I’ve backed over my Yeti with my car before and nothing happens to it so we’re not worried about any animal smaller than a bear getting at it. As for bears, we’ve never had a problem with one at camp. We will hang it if we can but often it’s too heavy so we’ll just set it away from camp. These things really are almost indestructible. There’s a recall on the magnetic ones but I think we’re just going to keep ours. Thanks for watching.

As a non trout fisherman what is considered late in the season to fish for them. Just curious as to when you fished. Looks like you had beautiful weather. I try to come up twice a yr to bass and pike fish but seems like I always pick heavy rainy days.

This trip was around the end of June. We are by no means an expert on the subject but I’d say late June is getting late for trout. We generally don’t target them at all in July and August but we also don’t camp much this time of year either. Thanks for watching.
