Yes there are holes through the angle iron and tapped into the bottom of the 11gauge tubing. The complete detailed fabrication series showing every aspect of making all three setups will be up in the next few days.

Grade 8 is what I was saying. Hardened high strength bolts available at any bolt supply house and limited selection at big box stores. Online try www.mcmaster.com/grade-8-bolts one of my favorites.
