The moat , you are talking about in the beginning of the video, is called Kangla Moat. It was made long before the British came to Manipur. The Moat was constructed around the Kangla (the seat of power of Manipur kingdom). The floating island is called Phumdi.

You should have visited the world oldest living Polo Ground located at the heart of Imphal, Polo which is locally known as 'Sagol 'Kangjei' in Manipuri,guardian of Polo is the Lord Marjing.You can see the Lord Marjing's idol in Imphal-east.And the story behind the birth of Modern Polo game.

Seriously!!!! You didn't visit the Ema Keithel(the only women run market in the world) and instead of reaching that Andro Park(where you were drinking rice beer) you should have reached the Mutua Museum (at Andro) + you should have experienced how is the Wine made with rice in Andro. Guys you also missed Red Hills( Where the Japanese fought a fierce battle with the British). If you were interested about religion you could have reached the Govidaji Temple(for Hinduism) and the Lord Sanamahi Temple and Kangla Utra Sanglen (for Meiteism), and see the diverse culture of Manipur. Above all It's a sad story that you didn't reach Kangla Fort.

0:46 - 0:50 That's historically inaccurate. The fortress you are referring to is the Kangla Fort which was the palace for the ruler of Manipur. It wasn't built by the British, it was conquered by them. You also missed many other beautiful places such as Ima keithel, Dzuko Valley and Shiroi Hills.
