(0:52) Yes, there's normally a hidden 1-up there, but I guess it didn't appear because you didn't collect all of the coins in world 4-3. (Hidden 1-ups only appear one time, and only if you collect all of the coins in the previous world's 3rd level. Exceptions: 1-1 always has the 1-up, since there's no previous world. 2-1's hidden 1-up gives you some leeway, and can still appear if you miss up to 2 coins in 1-3. And, if you use a warp zone, the world you warp to will have its hidden 1-up available for sure, without you needing to collect coins in a previous level.) (1:20) Huh, I just noticed the timer continues ticking down after one player enters a pipe, until the screen transitions. (2:02) Nice Hammer Bro. stomp! If you're lucky and moving fast enough, you can pass through a hammer without getting hurt, but don't rely on that happening. (2:59) Ah, yes. The vine dance. Interestingly, the rhythm of the vine dance is different depending on whether or not you've jumped at all since entering the area. It has to do with your gravity being set to an oddly low value until you jump. That's why Mario is "smoother" than Luigi at 3:07, because Luigi jumped, while Mario didn't. (3:37) That brick right there contains a power up. (5:36) Managed to slip right in between the mega fire bar's animation frames. (8:47-8:52) Impressive. Nice job. (10:25) The leftmost brick in that row contains a power up. (11:37) The 1-up trick works at that angle!? The stomping physics of this 2-player hack must've been adjusted slightly in order to allow it to work like that. (11:51) LOL! (11:58) Now THAT'S an angle I would expect the 1-up trick to work for. (14:01, 17:42) LOL, nice ones, Mario. Luigi WILL remember this... (16:24) Again, the game struggled to recognize that you both reached the axe, and it nearly got one of you killed. (That would've been silly if one of you did die at the exact same time the axe triggered. When that happens in the original SMB, you go through the death animation, but then the screen scrolls to the right with the victory music, then the death music plays again, and then you proceed to the next world without actually losing a life.) (17:00) Now THAT'S teamwork! (17:49, 18:20) Luigi gets his revenge. (19:02) More getting lucky with going through a hammer. (19:17) Wow... Okay, let's just pretend the hammers don't exist now. (20:02-20:07) So much for "super-easy". (22:15) And that's game! (22:22) "Thank you dudes!"

Some hammers don't have hitboxes since the NES can't handle it, this is why speedrunners could easily jump over Bowser even while he's throwing his hammers.

I waited for this! Moar co-op chaos! Btw, i think at 1:24 was the first glitch i saw in this whole co-op playthrough. Idk if its in normal SMB, but that Bullet Bill sure as hell looked a bit glitchy when going through that pipe.

@@BlueTelevisionGames Yep. I personally expected the game to be barely playable, as you two said at some point in the video. Turns out, it wasnt! Only very few graphical glitches, probably caused by NES limitations, and the fact both players have to hit the axe was slightly glitchy at times. Im honestly impressed by how good this ROM hack turned out.
