Yeah I had lowered it for the lasers and hadn't come close to running out in a couple of previous drops so wasn't as conservative with it as I should have been.

I have two complaints about the clan urbies. First, they are nowhere near as tanky as the originals. Second, the lack of torso-mounted hardpoints means you end up weaponless a good percentage of the time. Don't get me wrong, I love the larger guns you can mount on the arms. An LBX20 on one of these is a hoot. But having nothing that will work if your arms get blown off kind of sucks.

Yeah, I pushed for the other um iic variant to have 5 energy points with possibly 3 in torso to help with that but it didn't happen. Also be nice if all the urbies had a bit more arm armor to help with the tankyness (the IIc and all but the UM-R have the same arm armor). Though the rest of the iic being less tanky than most IS Urbies makes sense to me, since they have cxl and lighter big guns. Right now my biggest issue with the IIc Urbies is lack of build variety, this build is pretty good (though this match is definitely an outlier) but most of the others seem a little lacking to me. Like the lbx20 with some mediums is nice but I think it needs even more duration on the mediums or some big small/micro laser range quirk so it could have faster twist and shoot at lbx20 range.

@@dario03xI think I went with the LBX 20 and some small lasers, but it is basically the same thing. And I do understand not giving them the armor quirks of the IS versions for balance. However, even one torso-mounted hardpoint would go a long way to making them much more playable. Because the first thing any experienced player does when they see me in one is shoot the arms off. I do the same thing when I am faced with one. In the older versions of the game, the differences between the clan and IS urbies was minimal. Mostly cosmetic, to be honest. And they were some of the most entertaining mechs in the game. This time around, they finally have gotten some viable IS versions. But these clan ones just don't do it for me. I think I have over 1k hours in IS urbies. I just played the clan ones long enough to finish the challenges.

@@chrisr251 Yeah, like I said I'm all for more armor on the arms. Have tried to get it on the IS ones plenty of times. 3 of the IS ones do have this same issue (all arm mounted) and the other IIc variant has an energy hardpoint in the ct and lt. And yeah small lasers on the lbx20 build is an option but they are much shorter range than the lbx20 and like you said, the clan Urbies are more fragile which makes them less brawl capable.

@@dario03x My bad. I forgot the other one had torso mounts. But I think the quirks and performance on this one are much better, which is why I used this one more than the other. I think the other one is quirked almost exclusively for HAGs, which is why I didn't use it.

@@chrisr251 Yeah, build variety is a bit lacking. I wanted 5e on it so it could be like a clan k9 or a choice between 2hll,2erml and 1hll,4erml (2hll,3erml would also have been an option but probably to hot). 1hll,4erml probably would have been good on it, 2hll,2erml does work but is hot.
