Comedy genius unsurpassed. They played and bounced off each other so effortlessly and brilliantly, with impeccable timing. The writing is just so tight too. Such fond memories and nostalgia of growing up with British talent and shows like this, throughout the 70s and 80s.

I'm Portuguese but I lived in London from 1969-1990, I watched great British Comedy all this time, to this day as a 63 year old there is nothing as good or ever will be as this, even in my own country comedy is of very low standard compared to British comedy.

I was stranded in Ireland for a weekend Vintage car rally the Irish contingent looked after me ,I thought I was going to die from lack of oxygen I laughed so much I couldn't breathe for the whole weekend, the jokes were all about the Irish ,non of it politically correct it was wonderful they were wonderful

There is one thing for sure and thats the Irish love a good laugh. Being Irish, self ridicule is one of the things we are good at, and the two bhoys do a great job of it. When humour was fun and not muddied by miserly complainers who get offended at the sound of laughter.

If this isn't surrealism at work, I'll eat my hat. Bloody marvellous these two (not the clocks), but my soft spot always went to Barker. Corbett was very touching though, and he did recognise Barkers IMMENSE talent- he was unique. Comedy will never be the same without them. They made millions laugh, may they rest in peace and have pity for us being deprived. Comedy's dead.

I grew up watching this programme with my parents this but was too young to appreciate the clever wordplay at the time. I’m glad they did this set in an Irish pub (they could easily have done it in any other UK country) as it pays homage to great Irish writers

It's a very clever sketch twisting the English language and most of the humour comes from the fact that these two guys seem to understand each other...whatever their race may be.
