2 Samuel 6: 1-15 (ESV)
The Ark Brought to Jerusalem
6 David again gathered all the chosen men of Israel, thirty thousand. 2 And David arose and went with all the people who were with him from Baale-judah to bring up from there the ark of God, which is called by the name of the Lord of hosts who sits enthroned on the cherubim. 3 And they carried the ark of God on a new cart and brought it out of the house of Abinadab, which was on the hill. And Uzzah and Ahio,[a] the sons of Abinadab, were driving the new cart, 4 with the ark of God,[b] and Ahio went before the ark.
Uzzah and the Ark
5 And David and all the house of Israel were celebrating before the Lord, with songs[c] and lyres and harps and tambourines and castanets and cymbals. 6 And when they came to the threshing floor of Nacon, Uzzah put out his hand to the ark of God and took hold of it, for the oxen stumbled. 7 And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Uzzah, and God struck him down there because of his error, and he died there beside the ark of God. 8 And David was angry because the Lord had broken out against Uzzah. And that place is called Perez-uzzah[d] to this day. 9 And David was afraid of the Lord that day, and he said, “How can the ark of the Lord come to me?” 10 So David was not willing to take the ark of the Lord into the city of David. But David took it aside to the house of Obed-edom the Gittite. 11 And the ark of the Lord remained in the house of Obed-edom the Gittite three months, and the Lord blessed Obed-edom and all his household.
12 And it was told King David, “The Lord has blessed the household of Obed-edom and all that belongs to him, because of the ark of God.” So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obed-edom to the city of David with rejoicing. 13 And when those who bore the ark of the Lord had gone six steps, he sacrificed an ox and a fattened animal. 14 And David danced before the Lord with all his might. And David was wearing a linen ephod. 15 So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the Lord with shouting and with the sound of the horn.

I am 82 years old, male, living in Pennsylvania. I have studied that story several times, and I did not understand so many things until I heard this sermon by Daniel. It is so refreshing to hear. such insights from the Holy Spirit. I sit in the morning at 6 o’clock waiting to hear new insights into the word. I pray that God will bless his ministry and the people that actually hear him preach.

If believers only realise that we need to lead by example. We are supposed to show the world God's love, goodness, and mercy. When we surrender to Him we accomplish more for the Kingdom. Obedience brings life. Disobedience brings death on so many levels.

Is "attending" the church fellowship via zoom "a new cart?" Would love to hear what my brothers and sisters have to lovingly share.

Pastor, have a question...when we measure a ministry or church if they are as per scripture aren't we judging them? Not sure if I made sense here

43:33 But it really isn't "that simple". It is so hard these days to try and decipher many churches beliefs and if they are biblical. I, myself, have been looking for a truly biblical church for a long time. One church displays, states, and preaches sound biblical doctrine, yet the pastor and elders allows the leader of the ladies ministry to teach a bible study from Joyce Meyer. Another church displays, states, and preaches sound biblical doctrine, yet the church feels more like a bar than a church with all the laser lights, smoke and blacked out sanctuary. And I can't even begin to start with the different factions of religions. There is no such thing as simply Baptist, Presbyterian, etc., each one has broken off into sub-sections where one believes its ok to be homosexual and another doesn't, etc.. It has gotten so confusing and so difficult. ESPECIALLY in a small town, such as where I live, when there is not a lot to choose from to begin with. And especially for a new Christian who is still learning and not as knowledgeable.

From what I gather , God will let us get away with sinful behaviour for a short period so as to not to strike us dead immediately. Yet, if we continue going the crooked path unrepentant, God will eventually have to deal with our disobedience at once. I hope it helps. Blessings 💖🙏💖🙏💖 P.S.: it is especially applicable to those who have recieved a good deal of revelation from the Almighty.

Hey! Hope this reaches you well even though I’m a year late lol If we look up what the ark of the covenant would’ve looked like and from the text in Exodus 37 that the ark would’ve had 4 golden rings on each corner. This was to put wooden rods through the rings so ppl could lift it. I’m not Bible expert but I presume they hoisted the ark into the cart and once it was on there they removed the rods. When Uzzah thought the cart was falling he touched the actual ark, an unclean sinful human although trying to do a good thing laid hands on something holy. Hope that helps
