Hi Jennifer. Those opal earrings look like real opals. My foster father was an opal miner in Lightning Ridge, so I've seen heaps, and if those are faux, there the most amazing faux opal I've ever seen! Also, the SUN earrings may have a heavy rhodium plating over the sterling. And I reckon that they're most likely lab grown diamonds. These were all lovely pieces. I was devastated to see the pin missing from the marcasite duck brooch, but it could easily be replaced. 💖🇭🇲

Ok. I don't know much about Opals and have no idea if the will test as anything on a presidium, but they are beautiful. I have scratch tested those SUN earrings multiple times and still can't get a positive sterling test, so I'm at a loss of what to do. And yes, some of the lisitngs I saw said lab grown. I've never tried to replace a pin on a brooch, but there's always time to learn and try!! Thank you for your help and for watching and commenting.

I just got a pair of earrings thatbwere marked LGD, which stands for Lab Grown Diamonds. They are in marked 925 metal, and tested as sterling. Check all over. The mark was in a strange place. Good luck!
