I'm thinking, "that spanner is great, but what if the pins are too long?". Dale says, "if you're using one of these make sure the pins are short". I love this channel. One other thing I've noticed that makes this channel compelling is the "how to" nature. It doesn't just show you what can be done, it has enough detail to show you how you can do it yourself. Thanks!

Thank you so much. Yes, that spanner is a Williams 484, you can get it in a three-piece spanner set at part number 50001. They are just right for holding flywheels. That is my hope that I can help others maintain their own bikes. Sometimes it helps to see it done.

Great information Dale. I used to submerge engines in water while under pressure and look for bubbles to find leaks. I built watercraft 2 strokes for many years. Super important on a 2 stroke to be airtight.

@@montana2strokeracer Awesome, trust me ASMR has a HUGE audience and they are indiscriminate about the content as long as it tics the boxes of relaxing, repetitive pattern movements or sounds. It might actually be a good idea to incorporate some of the audio techniques used by ASMR KZbin Creators as well. Did you get a chance to have a look at the Revzilla ASMR link i sent you as well? I think there's some great ideas there regarding audio, camera angles, etc for ya.

I had a plug in the intake on my son’s RM250C2 , I heard it pop out at 6 psi but thought it went way out into the yard . No it was bouncing in the intake tract of the airbox between the carb and air filter. Cost him a race 🤷🏻‍♂️ Hope you’re doing well , Dale . Ty for all you do. 😊

would a mity-mite vacuum pump work?

It sure will, I like to use pressure not vacuum, but either works, the mity mite will do both vacuum and pressure.

grind the crimp off the metal part where it hits the porcelain and then punch the Porcelain out from the bottom. (put it upside down in a vise and use a punch)

I know I said not to change your sound system on your last video, but that good mic really picks up what sounds fan noise in the background. The audio in your intro up to about 2:40 at your "thumbs up" spot, is really washed out. Maybe its a heater fan? Good video, overall, and no problems with sound after the intro. Not really a complaint, just thought you should know.

I forgot to put my transmitter on. Look at my shirt in that intro, transmitter not there. I was lazy and didn't want to re do it. So I just jacked up the volume when I edited it.

I was going to buy the Motion Pro kit a couple months ago but lucky for me they were out of stock. I caught hell on Facebook for wasting my money on things I could buy at ACE. Anyway, I was watching a TW200 guy on KZbin and he used a smoke generator and that looked to me like a better and quicker way to check for leaks. Do you have any experience with smoke machines?
@montana2strokeracer
@montana2strokeracer 21 күн бұрын
Yes, Cain just told me those sell for over 500 bucks now, I had no idea, think I gave 150 for mine. I am going to do a video on making a leak checker from parts. Let's see how much it cost me. I have never used a smoke generator. I think the automotive folks use them to find leaks in air conditioner systems, not sure but I think I have heard that.

@@montana2strokeracer A fellow who posts on YT as tdubkid used one on his Yamaha TW200. Of course that's a 4-stroke so it's a little different, but it works really slick. Just seal everything up like usual, plug in the smoke machine, stand back and look for where it comes out. The whole thing with free shipping can be had for $150 with free shipping.
