I recall driving Pete and John to the airport for a meet over 10 years ago. Didn't see John again until he came over to buy some dumbells we had on Craigslist a few/several years ago. He'd never been to our house so he was happy to visit The Basement.

Commenting for the sake of the algorithm just for you, Pete! I used to watch your basement deadlift vids in college before hitting the gym. Been following you for a long time and to see the growth on a personal level you've made over the years is super fucking rad to see. Never would've guessed Pete would end up being the genuine, hero good guy the sport needed back then, but I'm sure as hell glad you are!!!

Brilliant Podcast Pete👏. You should put these podcasts up on Spotify as well. Crazy that John completely cycles off test in-between meets & doesn't just maintain on a TRT dose. Even crazier he can keep a mid 500lbs bench while off cycle.

@@Nickademaslifts At least as far as powerlifting goes it seems most people respect john haack as the GOAT of our generation. Now if youre talking about lifting or fitness in general then yeah its sad that a lot of fuckboys on SARMS who barely bench 225 can get more recognition than John.

@@3ncore706 he’s the goat forsure. Just in terms of popularity guys like Jamal browner Russ swole are more popular because of KZbin and Instagram. Haack hasn’t been a huge name for long even though he’s been smashing records for awhile
