The MiGs seem to typically approach from the closest side of the map from where Boris is. Given that the converted prism tower was slight further south of the Paris Tower, and they were apparently on the northern side of the map, so it would take the MiGs slightly longer to strike it.

Boris is such a joke, it would have been better if you could move while airstrike is in progress, the coordinates are alreay there anyway. and it is for buildings. what would really be cool is if he can fire the rifle or run away after airstrike.
