We were down 0-8 in a 2v2 basketball with money at stake. It's hard to drive because of our strong and athletic opponents. Luckily, I started hitting 7 consecutive midrange jumpers and eventually won the game. As a shooter, I think you should learn: 1. Separation Moves 2. Shot fakes and hesis 3. Quick release Js

Is the 1-2 step or the hop step better for a quicker shot? Or does that matter at all?
@lance65547 жыл бұрын
Doesn't matter. All that matters is if you're comfortable with either one.
@jgoogle42567 жыл бұрын
Yasmene Rivera Hop step is a split second quicker because it doesn't take as long to load both feet into position but 1-2 step is recommended to gain consistency. If ur a right handed shooter and you start practicing the 1-2 step you will probably initiate it with your left foot but remember you always want to plant your inside foot first, so make sure you practice initiating the steps with your right foot as well for any time you're going to the left for a shot. So, in short, you could probably become great by practicing either, and while I was warned not to choose the hop step over the 1-2 and I've seen success with that method, it's up to you. One way to look at the hop step is as a really, really quick 1-2 step with 1 foot landing just an instant before the other. With this approach I think you should start with a slower 1-2 until you become a good shooter using that method.

Again, I see people here commenting that they get called a travel doing such moves much like the euro-step. Again, as I previously said, you may be doing it wrong. Do consider that commenters here play on much2x less competitive game compared to international or NBA games. The reason that you might get called travelling is because of poor execution. In basketball, travelling is the same rule, taking more than 2 steps anywhere is illegal.
