That's a psychological issue that really needs further examination. If someone is willing and able to put in hard work and thoughtfulness, but they only have that motivation when doing something bad, then it seems like there should be some way to get them to direct their energy in a positive way. Some crackheads will go to a *lot* of trouble just to steal some copper pipes, and they'd actually make more money if they had just gone to a day-labor place.
