A client called me wih an emergency wasp nest removal when we noticed he was getting yellow jackets inside his home! When I arrived there was a MASSIVE German Yellow Jacket nest inside the flooring joist bay of his home and a Bald Faced Hornet nest on his electrical meter. I removed the bald faced nest first, then I opened the basement ceiling to extract the massive German nest!

Hey Jeff Barry from Lebanon how you doing bud I’m going to see this because of that jerk that spun his tires or whatever there’s always one in your neighborhood. For instance, I got a guy here in Lebanon where I live he’s 70 years old owns a mustang with a sinker 5.0 L or bigger always takes off like a bat out of Hades, and or downshifts right in front of my house now I to the question you said about freezing the nest to neutralize the bees, and you said about the larva being alive the bird eat, the larvae, even if they’re dead are they that finicky and tweety bird that was biting ya I got bit by an ostrich I was feeding it lawn green beans and he took it down and then next thing you know he got the rest of it down and he bit my finger I mean he was slick hurt to

I have him to thank for making me less afraid of yellow jackets. Just yesterday we had people over for dinner and a few foraging yellow jackets showed up. Last year, I probably would’ve killed them. This year, I just tolerated them and let them be. Since I did have company over, I did have a can of the spray out so I could’ve gotten rid of the yellow jackets if they bothered my guests but it wasn’t needed.

I just wanted to say a quick Thank You to you, Hornet 🐝 King for inspiring me to get several heritage breed 🦃 turkeys (one Royal Palm tom & 4 Blue 💙 Slates). My stepmom mistakenly bought the large-breasted turkeys two years ago and they cannot breed without help, so I got ones that can do all of that without my help and are super smart to boot.😊 I've loved watching you with your different birds, so adding a few more turkeys to the order birds (chickens, geese, 🪿 and guineafowl) made perfect sense. Plus I've watched yours long enough to see the different personalities that they each have. They're so funny 😂 in the morning as they fly 🕊️ and race around! So, Hornet King, you not only taught me about hornets, you taught me about your birds. If I have emus in a couple years, I'm blaming you. 😂 Just kidding. I don't need to blame anyone; my husband knows who he married. 😅 Thanks again!

I have a similar situation - 2 nests in my backyard that seemed to appear overnight. One is Eastern hornets I think. The other is bees in a tree trunk, but I can’t get that close because the hornets are in the way. It sucks, everyone in my area who deals with this stuff seems to be booked because it’s a busy year. I even called you but I’m too far.

You aren't too near any of them to go do jobs in their areas, but I still tell them to come watch your channel. I think you are so brave and good at your job. And then the treat of getting to watch all your birdies eat the larvae out of the comb is so fun! Adding so much protein to their diets. I'm just always amazed at how you handle these terrifying creatures. TY for doing what you do! And how you talk to all your dinosaurs! lol

I had some smaller ones around the outside of the house. They had comb, but no envelope. They were very chill, and let me hing out about 3 feet from the nest where I thinned the returning foragers with an electric flyswatter in the late afternoon. After the numbers were down, used a garden sprayer with water and a little bit of dish soap. With the stream of soap on the exposed comb, they had very few get to fly away. After the soapy water took care of most of the nest, returned after dark and sprayed again to take care of returning foragers. Somehow, they did not recognize me as the source of their problems. Did not have a single attack. I guess the spray from a distance is effective at knocking down the swarm defense response. The ones that took flight, left the area to return later. They did not come to attack me. Even while spraying them, I stood very still, which probably helped. After spraying, I took one small nest down and put it in a jar to see of the soap killed the larva. It did not. Put the next in a jar and I have had one hatch out so far. Gave him a piece of chicken for his troubles. The small comb had 3 capped cells, so expect a couple more to hatch out soon. The one that hatched out is wary of me. When I reach for the jar to view him, he responds by hiding on the fair side of the comb. He is interesting to watch.

Spent some time in America for most of august. Really was quite striking how many different species of wasp and hornet I saw. Especially the big hornets at night time which you’d never see in the UK. But it really makes sense that more US homes house nests because so many are made of wood pretty much where in the UK we are all brick built. We get nests in homes don’t get me wrong but no where near the scale in America

Bald Faced Hornets are definitely the most aggressive/sensitive wasp species I’ve personally seen, you can’t even turn on a vacuum without getting instantly swarmed by 3/4ths of the nest. When I read the title of this video I was wondering how you'd remove both without causing a double swarm. The good old freezer technique works well, we'd leave them in our freezer for four days so we were sure they were dead. It still didn't prevent parts of some insects finding their way into our ice trays. It never bothered hubby, but with me being deathly allergic to hymenoptera I couldn't take a chance. I always enjoy seeing your pets enjoying their food, and your emu look like they're having lots of fun.

I live in a camper with a roof ac and the temp got cool enough to shut down the ac last night until this morning probably off 8-10 hour and in that time a wasp had crawled in the drain hole and got into the air vent when I turned it on it came out right in my face lol it doesn’t take long for them to try and build a nest

I was mowing tall grass and ran over a wasp nests and got stung several times. My first thought was that I wished you were here in Iowa. They were really small wasps but many of them. I had to wait for dark to burn them out. I wanted to keep the comb to give to my chickens but it didn't work out. :(
