This elderly client had yellow jackets entering her home at the foundation wall. She was getting yellow jackets in her bathroom for a couple weeks, but then she started also getting them in her BEDROOM! So she called me to investigate and REMOVE the nest!
Once the nest is removed, and Im finished appointments for the day, I bring the nests home, and fed them to my Emus, Chickens, and Rhea!

When I was younger I loved to play sports any sports but softball was and still is my favorite. Well we had just finished one tournament (this is peewee ball so 7-13 we also one that one 2-1) and we were waiting for our next one when my friend and I went to the bathroom we walked passed the concession stand and as soon as I walked on this one spot (under the ground) three yellow jackets flew straight into my mouth (I was talking) I immediately start spitting and slapping the air and when I finally got away my lip immediately started swelling and within ten minutes my throat started closing up and I couldn’t breathe. Now I had been stung before and never had any reaction like this. I immediately was rushed to the ER and when they looked in my mouth I had one sting on my bottom lip, one on my cheek and one near the back of my tongue. It was horrible, what I was mad about was I couldn’t finish the tournament we did end up winning that one as well.

Love how informative your videos are. It actually gave me the courage to remove a nest from my grandmothers garage a few months ago. This was months ago, and since then I have been going down the Hornet King rabbit hole. Your videos are incredible. I am a high school science teacher (Earth and Environmental Science), so I love how educational every one of your videos is. In my AP Env Science course, we talk a lot about ecosystem services that species provide for humans, such as pollination. After discussing how wasps and hornets such as yellow jackets feed on insect larvae of other pest insects (that could potentially damage crops and such), I showed them one of your videos. We will definitely be watching more because they loved it! Thank you for all that you do, and man I wish you could come take care of nests here in NY. You rock!

Really minor thing but worth the correction; queens don't necessarily always die at around a year, some can actually live and grow their colony for a few years assuming they aren't killed by an outside force (freezing to death, being killed by their own colony, being killed by another colony, ect). Species that move a bit more might be a bit different, but some colonies can stay in and grow one hive for several seasons. Just interesting knowledge!
