Just bought 3 latch hooks to make one of these things. I figure I can just weave the parts that go in the handle together with wire and squish some thermoplastic on it for a base, and then I can make a squishy ergonomic handle covering with model magic.

Good video, Rachel! Laura Nelkin has videos on this nifty little tool including using beads with it to make knit beaded jewelry. Off topic here I’ll be knitting a Ranunculus soon so I’ll be watching your video journey of that beautiful sweater. Oh my goodness you made me 😂 for real with your ending there! Too cute. 😊 Big hugs to you, Rachel! Happy New Year to you jic I don’t see you on here before that.

How do you clean up the start of the icord?
@rachelisknitting5 ай бұрын
I put the starting end through a tapestry needle and then poke it through the center and out through the icord and kind of pull it in on itself.

I made one using 3 needles from a knitting machine and 2 small packages of polymer clay, about $10 total. I like to clamp it to a table and have both hands available to work.

Of course, you could make icord with double point needles.

Wonder Knitter by Clover is way easier and more efficient. My friend’s 4 year old can use it.

I like this, but a lot of the actual use of the device -- or at least on my screen -- showed your stitch-making cut off. So the action was below the edge of the picture -- the very thing i wanted to see!
