Of course, I've watched every video you've made, but I haven't posted many comments lately. I apologise for that! It may seem strange, but I would still find even a review from you about picnic baskets fun and interesting. You guys have a gift for making every video fun and interesting. I am still very happy and satisfied with my touring bike, the BMW R1200RT. With BMW's prices, I am also looking at other brands. It is absurd that in the Netherlands I buy three Voges for the price of one R1250RT. Your videos on this bike have made me very interested. What I particularly appreciate is that you are not only positive, but also look for the downside. This makes your videos honest, reliable and to the point. That is very important to me. So ...... keep up the good work and know that I appreciate you very much! Thanks for a great channel!

Spot on - congrats! My quickshifter got fixed - as it turned out it got misplaced and required adjustment. I spoke with the mechanic who prepared my bike and told me that the TPMS sensor in front wheel couldn’t be activated so he ordered a spare one right away. Two weeks later during 1000km was replaced and works fine. I’m in Canary Island. It tells something about availability of spare parts. There is a sufficient stock available in warehouse on mainland Spain.

I agree with you the radar an the back of the bike is a big plus . As you said all bikes should be fitted with it out of the box. The bike look like very good value for money and well worth thinking about . For some one like me at the age of 65 this could be a great last bike purchase . Great warranty periods make this sort of bike very cheap . I am at the sort of age that speed isn't everything but comfort is and then reliability is so important as is affordability.

Last Monday, I took my Triumph Thunderbird in for its 40,000 km service. This major service includes, among other things, adjusting the valves, which means the engine has to be opened. Duration: 2 days. I’m using this time to finally test the adventure bike from the Chinese brand Voge. The Voge 900 DSX has the same engine as the BMW F900 GS and is also equipped with other high-quality components like Brembo brakes, etc. However, a BMW with similar equipment would cost nearly twice as much. So let’s go for it, a 2-day test! Today, I rode through the hills of the Swiss Jura, via St. Ursanne to Saignelégier, St. Imier, Moutier, Delémont, and back to Kleinlützel. The verdict is mixed: great agility and cornering (compared to the Thunderbird), strong acceleration, and good power reserves for overtaking. The Loncin engine hums pleasantly, and I don’t feel any strong vibrations like I do with the T-Bird. But: jerky throttle response at low speeds (my test bike has software version 4.2). Riding in traffic is more than a hassle. The engine also occasionally stutters, for example, when accelerating quickly out of a hairpin turn. Also, the (heated) seat is too hard and too low for my liking. After 3 hours, everything hurts… With my height of 190 cm, I can just about get my knees under the indentations on the tank. Comfort is something else. I’d need to raise the handlebars to avoid riding like a banana when standing. The windscreen is too low for me, so a bigger one would be needed. In short: mixed feelings. But I’m confident that the bike can be adjusted to suit me. However, my dealer won’t be able to deliver the “Black Knight” version I prefer until next year…

@@ontheroadadventure No, LOL. The expected price of the Voge 900 DSX in the Netherlands (where I live) is estimated to be around €11,000. This makes the bike considerably cheaper than many of its direct competitors, such as the BMW F850/900 models that use the same engine and cost around €15,550 in the Netherlands. In Italy, the Voge 900 DSX is currently offered for just under €10,000, which suggests that the Dutch price will likely be a bit higher, but still below the price of premium brands. I will definitely take it for a test drive. But in the Netherlands the Voge 900 DSX will not be released until early 2025 in Euro 5 version. So I, and many other people with me, will have to be patient for a while. Greetings Paul, from Dordrecht!

Yes, I’m the same and sat on one yesterday with no boxes on it so not so loaded, wound the preload down and could get the balls of my feet down comfortably wearing normal shoes, so I think with bike boots on it’d be absolutely fine 👍

I have had an itch to get a high featured Chinese bike. I was choosing between 900DSX and 800MT. After checking them both out, the built quality of the CFmoto was better than Voge. The components were stronger, better put together and it was more comparable to the Euro and Japanese brands. The Voge, not bad tho, had some stereotypical Chinese qualities, as wery weah stock crash bars, thin casting on the passenger pegs, weird finishing on some parts... I went for the CFmoto as it seemed to be a clear winner for me.

Great review of these bikes, and they look amazing value. Unfortunately for me at 5ft 2 adventure bikes, in fact most bikes are too tall 🙂 I ride a Kawasaki z400 and with paniers and it's been fantastic "adventure" bike for me. It is very interesting that Voge are making really good bikes that can you can do anything on.

I think this will be a great success, however its biggest issue is the dealers, each dealer only got a few to sell and rather than keep one to show prospective customers so they can build an order bank. No, they just delivered them all to take a quick profit, one dealer actually laughed in my face when I asked if they had one I could look at.

Needs a good 3-5 years in the UK to see how these bikes hold out. Our winters are pretty bad and with all the shite they chuck on the roads ( salt ) we will see how the bikes last. Parts is another issue for me with only a few dealerships selling them. I hope they last long it’s bike I’m seriously interested in.

Great wrap-up review. Real world practical comments ... just how I like reviews to be. 👍👍 I have a 2023 Tiger 900 Rally Pro and it is a great bike but the Voge seems to be a better value for money and if we have them here, I would be giving it a good look. The difference in cost pays for a lot of travel enjoyment, that's for sure, and it would be cheaper to insure as well.
@ontheroadadventure2 ай бұрын
and this is exactly how Voge are going to win customers, We can all have the adventure bike AND have the difference in money to actually go and tour with them.
@chrishart85482 ай бұрын
The difference in ride and handling really shine on the tiger 900 vs this cheaper bike. You might get more travel but not as much enjoyment. The F900gs isn't as good to ride as the Tiger 900 rally pro either.
@ontheroadadventure2 ай бұрын
I had the GT Pro, it lasted me one year, i was unlucky enough to have the chain snap and smash the engine
@GrumpyGoat2 ай бұрын
@@chrishart8548 Well I have no complaint with the 900 Rally Pro I have except it is the slowest bike I've owned so far, aside from my 2014 Honda CB500R. 😄 It handles great and is a great long-distance rider as well. Have not tested it off-road myself but many with waaaay more expertise than I rate it as a great off-road bike. As a BMW owner I naturally am "receptive" to the new F900GS, especially its looks, but I think the Tiger is a better value. Question is - will the ride be equivalent to the difference in price? I very much doubt it. Also "ride" is subjective and if the ride is good / pleasing enough, anything more is a waste.
@chrishart85482 ай бұрын
@@ontheroadadventure I guess that's more of a chain issue than a bike issue. Seems like they don't fit very high quality chains and it's only when I've been very lucky the casing of the engine doesn't take major damage from a chain failure.

I have to admit that the bikes do look good (and I also admit that I'm going with the herd and the black one looks best !) I'm a technophobe so the electronics are wasted on me. Putting the bike on the centre stand looks just as difficult as on my Tiger 800XC, but these stands are primarily for maintenance and rear wheel removal, not for everyday general use..
