2 x Nissan Primera BTCC Super Touring Car in action: Accelerations & Great Intake Sound!

Last year at the Festival of Speed there was a really good line up of iconic Super Touring Car from the late '90s/early 2000s. Not one but two Nissan Primera GT BTCC were there and took also part in the timed shootout.

I watched season-review VHSs of the 97-2000 BTCC seasons repeatedly as a kid and the Primera with this livery is a genuine icon of my childhood! Nowadays I also love that it's a non-turbo SR20 producing ~320 horsepower.

One of iconic cars during the great era of Super Touring Cars series. Sadly, that era was replace by under performance TCR era.

@@noorazfaruddin467 No, the Super touring car era in the BTCC was replaced in 2001 by the new BTC rules, which were similar to the Super 2000 rules, that were imposed in the European Touring Car Championship in 2002, which meant slightly less power, less advanced chassis, more weight, and lower costs overall, the BTC was replaced by the NGTC in the BTCC, and the TCR replaced Super 2000 in rest of the world.

Love this car. Saw it at my first BTCC race in 1999 at Knockhill. Many great cars in this era. The Volvo S40 definitely sounded the best.

My mum had Two Primera, a P10 and a P11. The P10 handled a lot better, but the P11 had the SR20VE which was a ripper engine.
