You are so beautiful!!! And i love your locs!! You are fully loc’d though. Your roots will never stay loc’d. They’re not supposed to. It will always grow out fresh and then we just retwist it into the established loc’d... so it’s totally ok to wash when you want and not worry about your roots being perfect... and I love what you said about your bleached locs. I lifted mine and then dyed it fire orange before I turned 7 months and didn’t care what anyone said. So long as you take care of your locs they will be just fine... and shout out to all the fine hair ladies with locs!!! Great video!

I've wanted to loc for over 10 years, I loc'd my hair a little over 2 weeks ago and it was the best decision I've made❤️🤎 I got rid of needing to conform to European standards 5 years ago and stopped relaxing my hair, I kept it short for a year then grew it out for 4 and now I am FINALLY locking❤️❤️❤️.

I just want to thank you so so much for the visual progress of your journey. All day today I was thinking that my hair is to thin to look good with the size starter locs I have. I’m four months into my journey and just today I emailed someone to see if it was possible to comb out my locs and start sister locs because I thought that was the only way my hair would look full. I don’t know about a natural Loc gel but spray N loc is literally my staple! It really depends on how you like your Retwist to look. I love a clean retwist. That product makes my Retwist looks like I’m fresh out the shop! Definitely worth the try... it’s a different approach but used correctly you’ll fall in love with it! Plus, the Retwist LAAAASSSTTTTSSSS!

I’ve literally been rewatching your entire loc journey over & over since November of 2020 when I started thinking about locing my hair. I started my two strand twist loc method on December 27,2020 I’m almost 3 months in & my hair is budding now!!! I’m so excited!!!! I have really soft curly hair so a lot of my twists come down on their own but bc of the budding I don’t have 2 retwist them completely now! & I’m starting to crochet them so they’ll stop coming down

Yassss! I hit two years next month. For a natural gel, i would make flax seed gel with aloe Vera juice. Heavy on the flax seeds so it could be gelatinous, and I’d let it sit in the fridge for a day to congele. Honestly i used that from my second retwist until maybe November/December...it doesn’t last as long as a gel product but it made me feel good knowing that my locs were started and maintained with natural products

The only thing is, I’d mix oil into the gel as a loose natural and it was fine. But with locs, any type of oil will make it thinner with less hold. So i only use just flax seeds and aloe Vera juice

Ooli and Lion Locs both have loc retwisting gels that are mainly aloe vera based I believe. Ooli has a stronger hold, based on personal experience, and lion locs has a softer hold, based on the online reviews I've seen. #finelocs

Aloe vera gel works for me. I know for some people it doesn’t. I heard that and decided to find out how MY locs like it. They do and now i wont use anything else for my retwists. It’s water soluble so it rinses out easily for minimal to no buildup

So happy for your journey. I’m also on my loc journey (I’m 1yr & 9months in) & enjoying my transformation internally & externally. Can’t go no where but, UP ⬆️ from here ✨ P.S. I’ve viewed other loc vids & I see most times the only natural gel is Aloe Vera gel. The only thing is it made my locs dry but, it maybe different for you. What doesn’t work for me may work for you, give it a try. Also, flaxseed is another natural product that may work.

Buy fenugreek seeds and make fenugreek oil mixed with olive oil ( if your scalp/skin is more on the dry side) or grape seed oil( if you have oily scalp/skin) + castor oil and spray also spray aloe Vera juice 4 times a week. You’ll see a lot of growth and less breakage/shedding.

Thank you so much for the fast response...my hair is fine and low density and I have 73 locs. When they mature I want them to have a size /volume similar to yours. I’ve been watching girl with 100+ locs and got scared that maybe I didn’t make my parts small enough..or maybe my hair isn’t thick enough for locs to look that way I want but now I’m feeling good /relieved 😌 your locs look beautiful and perfect for your head & im sure mine will too
