One of my bestfriends when I was 6 years old was a girl with down syndrome, and I swear, she had the biggest heart ever. I've never met anyone with a bigger heart than her. She was(and probably still is) loving and caring. She ALWAYS made me and others smile. She brought happiness to everyone around her. You're a wonderful mother, and I totally agree with you on what you're saying about expectations. You have a wonderful baby daughter and you have every right to be proud of her.

As a young adult I got the chance to be a volunteer at a home for handicap children and adults, and I was the sports freak growing up, so sports was my fun job and watching and teaching these young minds how to play and run the bases, and the smiles and laughter that overwhelmed them brought so much peace to me in so many ways. Being abused as a child into teenage yrs, God sent me to that place and sent them to my heart to find joy!!! TY for the smiles in the video!!

Hey I just wanted to share how inspiring this video was to me. I am from Mexico city and during elementary school I had the great experience and the oportunity to attend to a school named "Giocosa" where "normal kids and special needed kids studied together, lets say 30% of my classmates had a special condition. That shaped me, and now Im looking foward to study special education. I connected really Strong with the moms dream about having her daughter achiving goals in the future and being independent. You are making a great job posting this videos so people can get more educated about kids and adults living with special conditions

Just want to add, I do not feel sorry for her. I feel sorry for people who are ignorant and feel the need to post hurtful comments on her video. She will excel, she will prove you wrong and she will grow up to be an amazing human being. People on here who are writing hurtful comments on here, however, will never experience that. They either do it for a reaction (so they don't actually mean what they say) which makes them so pathetic I want to cry (when I want attention from someone, I usually just like, well, talk to them) or... even more unbearable, they mean it. Which makes them a personification of something I never believed truly existed - pure evil. I want to believe that most people are inherently good. Therefore, I will believe the former. As the latter breaks my heart.

She looks adorable. Does it pain you to know that she may not achieve much in life? My daughter is a slow learner but she has a big heart. She cares for her brother and friends and is always so trusting, willing to share. It pains me immensely to know that she will never make it to the top schools and maybe never to university. She will never hold a professional job.

Mannou Hana, you'll probably never see this, but I feel sorry for you. Sorry that you don't have more hope for your child. Sorry that your mentality will prevent them from achieving more.
@galaxiestarz53947 жыл бұрын
its not a parents mentality, sometimes its reality and fact in some circumstances. You don't know the severity of the situation or know her potential. My boyfriend's child has down syndrome, he's 8 and cannot speak at all. So this is very judgemental of you without you even knowing the circumstance.
@HighTen_Melanie6 жыл бұрын
Everyone has the ability to make a contribution to the world on many levels. We each have talents that can be nurtured. Achievement is subjective. For some people just getting up and getting washed is an incredible achievement that may have taken years. For others it could be going to a shop independently or asking a stranger the time. We need to celebrate each and every achievement no matter how small. I pray your daughter will be a source of light and inspiration to the world and you will learn to appreciate and celebrate every small achievement which in itself is an incredible life skill. Think and act positively and you will value all that she can do and that her future is bright and wonderful. Her full potential has yet to be realised just like anyone else.

☀️ Sunny Days ☀️ - there's a fantastic hotel in England that hires only disabled employees, outside of the few top dogs (like the chef, managers, and trainers). The goal is that adults travel there instead of heading off to college, and they rotate through he various jobs to see if there's something that clicks for them. Some kids get really into helping in the kitchen, some loving serving in the restaurant, and others might love cleaning rooms. But then they can take these skills on to other jobs. It's amazing to see what kids with issues just like Down's Syndrome can achieve with the help of these kids of supportive programs. One video I saw about it showed an old employee coming back to stay as a guest. H had a regular job and as a holiday, he paid for an went on a trip to that hotel, by himself, for several days. It was so awesome to see a man who had probably been told he'd never amount to anything enjoying the fruits of his labor and having such fun on a trip. (I *think* it's called the Strangest Hotel in England (or maybe Britain).)
