Hello. I have also a younger brother who has Down Syndrome... and he is also deaf. Some people might imagine how hard it is to communicate or to raise him. When tough times come I would search some videos like this to brighten up my days to make me realize that my family isnt alone. Everybody loves him.

Some researchers say Down Syndrome kids can be bilingual if they grow up hearing both languages. I wonder if they can also learn “fluent” sign language. (Fully knowing ASL, not just basic small talk signs like “how are you today?”)

This takes me back so many years My biological daughter is 44 and then two adopted Downs that are 32 and 28. The early years were so fun to be able to see the accomplishments. They are all very independent and wonderful adults. They have 4 big brothers that are amazing and have always been there for their sisters. This is a great video.

I have worked with small kids with Downs Syndrome. I absolutely loved them. As children, they are so cute but...how is raising them as teenagers and young adults? That must be a huge challenge.
@emilyalcorn35473 жыл бұрын
It can be hard just like raising teenagers into adulthood can be hard as well! They have the same needs, wants and emotions like everyone else but the joy far outweighs the hard times. My sister has Downs and is 39 now! She lives in a unit with a flat mate and support workers. She has just made her 20 years working at Coles 😊 She was sooooooo proud! She works 5 days a week for 4 hours per day. Everyone in the Shopping Center knows Kate and she has so many friends at work! It’s not all roses and rainbows... Kate has had to overcome many obstacles in her working and private life but we come through the harder times and they pale in comparison to those hard times. She sees the good in everyone and has such an innocence about her! Anyway my point is... it is going to hard but it is 100% worth it 😊

We used masks and I also think breast milk helped alot.

Its people like you that support laws in the US that make women’s rights not so much a thing anymore to their bodies. There are people too unfortunately who have gotten raped or sexually assaulted. I guess they should keep their babies too even if they dont have the financial means? Makes total semse though to police what a womam should do with her body.

Faith in word and deed and belief in religion, Sharia and the method that God Almighty revealed makes you completely live like them, the religion of innateness, and I am not talking here about the actions of people who offend this religion, because we are in the end humans we do the right and do the mistakes because we are not perfect, but I am talking about religion and its spirit by itself And if you don't believe me, hear one of the sufferers with down Syndrome the Holy Quran, and notice comfort, tranquility and reassurance when they're listining to the words of their Creator The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: Every child is born on the fitra and it is his parents who make him a jew or a christian. God almighty said: (So direct your face toward the religion, inclining to truth. [Adhere to] the fitrah of God upon which He has created [all] people. No change should there be in the creation of God. That is the correct religion, but most of the people do not know). - Ar-Room 30
