I have 2 of those tanks as well. 1 for gas and the other for diesel. I added brass "garden hose" type fittings so I could take the fuel line off easily when I take them to fill up.b. I really like mine and recommend them!

Obvious comparison would be one of these tanks versus just 3 of the 5 gallon cans. Seems like the cost would be significantly less & cans can be lifted by hand. I use older yellow and red cans for my on property fueling. Do you think the extra cost for the tanks is really justified?

Great question. I think you could get away with spending around $100 for three 5 gallon cans. Now you have to consider the annoying spouts and the cost, if you want to, of replacing those. There is definitely a convenience fee built it. I also have 3 5 gallon containers I use in conjunction with these tanks. 😁👍

I don't know if you intentionally gave a hint, but we know your ZTR is not going to be a diesel. I predict some kind of Kubota or a Ferris with a minimum of 60" cutting width. For me, a 55 gallon drum of gas gets me through the summer. Right now I have used 44 gallons. My Gravely commercial 260z 60" with a water cooled Kawasaki 26 horse cuts the 4 acres I keep maintained 3 times on one of two 7 gallon tanks. My TYM T 264 has yet to use more than 10 gallons a year of diesel. All I have use it for is tilling, lifting and moving and using a man lift for pruning and replacing the fascia on one ends of my house. I am VERY shocked of the things I pick up with that tractor, I never even thought about it for lifting and now I wont pick anything up without it! lol

You are very astute in your observations 😉 It's definitely a gas engine. And I've heard and read it is not fuel efficient to say the least. My main motivation was saving me time. I can not wait for it to arrive and share it with everyone 😁👍

I'm going to check those tanks out I'm using a 55gal drum for my diesel right now , but I'm still using the good ole government improved gas cans for everything gas powered!!! Lol
