Hello dear stranger :) Check out my CURRENT SINGING VOICE on my new Music video!!: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qpC6ZmiLm5V-ic0 And check out my current SINGING VOICE with my newest song I made by myself: open.spotify.com/intl-de/track/4XSeLrFUjNxZJGF2Xtij5A?si=e00d79f665ee478f I am so overwhelmed by the amount of support and touching words here in the comments also in my instagram Dm’s and my Email. All of that is just too much for a 16 year old like me to handle. 2 years ago, when I wasn’t able to hit one single note properly and just sounded like a tyrannosaurus rex laying eggs, I said with so much fear, doubt and desperation but most importantly with confidence that I will prove to myself and to the world that hard work can surpass talent. That 14 year old David said he will inspire millions of people one day. Fast forward to now 1320 beautiful people decided to follow my journey and 100.000 have watched this video with 6500 liking this video. Without God's help nothing would be possible. All Glory to Him. THANK YOU But this singing journey of mine is one of the few things I worked on disciplined I also worked on my music producing, composing, songwriting, editing and playing all the instruments such as Piano, Drums, Acoustic Guitar, Bass, Electric Guitar and Saxophone skills in those 2 years where I also can make this kind of transformation video. I decided to work very hard on those aspects to create my own songs by myself. And Im very happy to tell you that 7 SONGS are already OUT "Run from Love" kzbin.info/www/bejne/qpC6ZmiLm5V-ic0 distrokid.com/hyperfollow/davidtran/run-from-love "Illusion" kzbin.info/www/bejne/lYvZZGlrgc2jrLs distrokid.com/hyperfollow/davidtran/illusion "Goodbye" kzbin.info/www/bejne/goecXqyXZqyoqqMsi=jkBeiunZd1KK8FqG distrokid.com/hyperfollow/davidtranandspyros/goodbye "About You" kzbin.info/www/bejne/iGfQh5R4bcmnaZYsi=XUKio4vTvMqz_DXc distrokid.com/hyperfollow/davidtran/about-you "Nightmare" kzbin.info/www/bejne/jYvXi2prjZ2aqLMsi=SBn5PrXXE0h5M-1z distrokid.com/hyperfollow/davidtran/nightmare “Stuck In The Paradise” kzbin.info/www/bejne/n4WthoejZ9WHhdk distrokid.com/hyperfollow/davidtran/stuck-in-the-paradise “Daydream” kzbin.info/www/bejne/fJeseIl3orCsbck distrokid.com/hyperfollow/davidtran/daydream I even put more effort into my songs because not only my singing skills are required but all of my other skills. Its especially really hard because I’m doing everything by myself. I know it sounds like an annoying Promotion but it would mean the world to me if you can support that since I’m VERY desperate because my lack of marketing skills. So please feel free to E-mail me: davidtran06@web.de Or DM me: instagram.com/david.tran06/ Also I saw many comments saying that I should work on my belting because it sounds like I’m screaming. Thank you so much for pointing out and also giving me tips! I am no brilliant singer yet I do know that. I know what I need to work on. I will get better trust me. Since many people asked what I do to train my voice… What I did was watching A LOOT of KZbin videos such as „how to improve singing“ After watching that I started to sing songs I love everyday and then realized where my weaknesses are in singing which was for example breathing properly and runs and riffs also singing high, falsetto and all that so I made a Plan. Like a workout plan. The KZbinr “Jacobs vocal academy” saved my life he has a looot of videos of like “Chest voice workout, falsetto workout, runs and riffs workout“ and so on. So I made a Plan which consists a certain different vocal workout everyday. For example Monday: Chest voice Tuesday: Head voice Wednesday: mixed voice And so on… I also included the „daily beginner vocal exercises“ which I really recommend. Before every workout I did a vocal warm up also from “Jacobs vocal academy and after the actual workout I did a cool down. And after all that workout I sang many songs with Piano or guitar to practise actually singing songs. It’s very hard to force yourself every single day to do your plan which you will put together yourself. You have to be Consistent that’s key.

To hit high notes you gotta open your jaw downwards and increase air velocity. Maximize the surface area your larynx can produce sound. Don't stretch your neck and DEFINITELY don't look up. Look straight forward and keep your chin down. You'll get there champ. I'm a low baritone (possibly bass) but can comfortably hit high tenor parts. It just takes a little getting used to

everybody's voice can sound great just need to find the right type for your voice. Not everybody can sing like Celine Dion/JB (and theres alot of them singing on the streets/bars) but that does not mean your voice cant be iconic(ed sheeran, dua lipa etc). Practice the extent of your voice, once you can use it on command just put soul and musicality then congrats your a singer. Fame on the other hand takes lots of luck and more.

@@farah-bk9lfno, don’t give up! Everybody can improve, with know-how and practice. Take some lessons with a teacher. If you’re having trouble with talking also, that probably means (but I’m guessing because I haven’t heard you) you are not breathing enough and not using your air efficiently. Speak and sing using your breath and air flow. Gently blow over your finger and make sure you have a similar airflow when singing. Take better breaths and speak/sing with energy. Again, I’m guessing. Good luck, hope it helps some. But I suggest voice lessons.

Hey man, it's normal to feel frustrated. I've been singing basically since I was born and took a bit of voice lessons. And I noticed that alot of ur problem really stems from ur anxiety. I recommend trying to relax even on high notes. It will feel a little awkward and counter intuitive since you wanna be louder and higher, but when you try to sing louder and essentially scream the song, it leads to poor control and technique. I hope this helps, keep it up king.

@Schtaron
@Schtaron Жыл бұрын
@@goldenhourss The ugly truth is that our recordings will always sound worse than what we hear 😔. But regarding support. Besides just learning songs and making sure to take breaths between lines. While breathing, you expand ur stomach but not ur chest. This ensures ur chest has breathing room and lets you have better control. If ur struggling to take in air fast while singing, another tip is to breathe with ur nose and ur mouth at the same time. I personally don't do this as I don't really struggle with breath management nowadays. Hope it helps

I'm 54 now, started 19 months ago, It was a long painful KZbin journey for me, loads of frustrations along the way, but here I am today and I can pretty much sing 95% of most songs now. If your going to do it, just save some cash and get vocal lessons. I managed to do it via KZbin and Various Online Courses, but if I could go back in time now, 12 lessons would have given me enough to correct all the things I was doing wrong. I can now sing low, high, mixed voice, it all came together for me, so it is definitely possible, as long as you still have a head voice, i.e, can talk like mickey mouse, its not too late to be able to belt high notes, in a fuller sounding chesty mix, once you learn how to do it.

@dbanksey216

@@HighTimeQ Totally agree, and people need to realise, its not a quick process. It takes time, it takes dedication, you need to do the exercises Daily and most important, do them correctly. Breath Support, Resonance, Placement, pharyngeal are all things I wish I had learnt in the first few months, and done the exercises on the back of them. If you do the exercises without learning all that stuff first, 9/10 you will be singing from your throat and doing them wrong and getting no where. I wish I could go back 2 years and tell my younger self this.

I don’t think anyone should ever be ashamed of their voice. You know the saying that the eyes are the gateway to the soul, for me, the voice is the gateway to the heart. This timeline of your voice is a reflection of how you’ve grown as a person, even if I don’t know what you’ve been through. My point is as humans we all grow, our hearts mend more easily as the more pain we feel the more we are able to come to terms with it and be stronger. We become better people much like our voice becomes better. The voice is a reflection of you, your identity and what you love, and from what I can hear… it’s bloody beautiful mate, keep it up ❤

i know this was meant in a complimentary way and i'm not trying to criticise your analogy (although I guess that's what im doing), but personally to me that makes it sound like if your voice is ugly, so are you, your identity and what you love, which understandably creates more insecurity/shame. but the growth analogies are very nice and true, and I also believe David has a gorgeous voice
@LittleOwl2003
@LittleOwl2003 Жыл бұрын
@@nel2670 It’s not a subject of beauty, just because someone sounds slightly pitchy or has an unpleasant sounding voice, their voice is their voice, and the fact it is still their voice is what is beautiful, one’s own identity is still something to be proud of and plus voices can always be improved upon, how far it gets them is subjective. My point is there is no ugly voice, at least for me, think about it, sometimes especially in Musical Theatre or any kind of Acting, voices are all for the purpose of shaping the character so whether it is unpleasant on the ears, it’s still serving it’s purpose that sticks with you and perhaps endears you to it

As a grown man I couldn’t workout for 2 months straight, or stick to my piano lessons for more than a month. Your discipline and work ethic is more powerful than your worst sounding note. Your story is so powerful because you started at the bottom and you still have the courage to keep climbing. I don’t know you but I sure do respect you.

Gotta say it brings a tear to my eye. I'm in the exact same situation you were at the very beginning. I thought I could sing until I recorded myself and heard how absolutely awful I sounded haha! It kinda broke my heart and I quit singing for about a month. I honestly even just quit talking. I felt I didn't deserve to speak, cause I've been singing for a lot of my life. Nothing serious just basic singing. And I still sounded like a deaf dog. But the last two years I've been really wanting to get lessons. And just yesterday I'm finally getting back into singing again. I just wanted to say thank you, I needed this video to show me it really is a process. This helps my anxiety just a little, bless 🙌

This gives me a lot of motivation. I have always wanted to be able to sing properly. I used to kinda sing well when I was a kid. As I hit puberty, I stopped singing in front of people. Those who had always been heard me singing in karaokes were shocked that they rarely to almost never hear me sing again. My relatives always want me to try singing again in karaokes but I always refuse cause I'm not confident. I still really want to sing again, but time had already passed and I already lost my confidence. Watching this gives me hope again into singing. I wanna try to get my confidence back, I'mma practice again.

The fact that today I also didn’t wanna run away from my dream and starting following my first voice lesson on KZbin and after practicing and recording I already felt like giving up. The universe doesn’t want me to quit lol. I totally relate to the feeling of being insecure and wanting to not tell anyone that I want to start singing. The problem is I don’t have a studio or the perfect time and place to sing freely like you do but I’ll still try.

I've been relearning how to sing from ground zero this after losing my voice for a couple months I used to sound good but I had zero technique so I threw that away and realized if I wanted to get better I'd need to start over It's been one of the most emotionally frustrating and painful experiences of my life To feel as though the thing I was best at I'm actually quite terrible at and I haven't been able to sound good all year but I'll get there Watching this was pretty encouraging because I know I'm not the only one who's experienced the pain and frustration I've been posting covers even though they're hard to listen to because it motivates me to not give up on myself I know I'll be a great singer someday soon it's only a matter of time. I'm really glad to hear how far you've come it's really inspiring

Hey David! I'm not sure if you'll see this but you're doing an amazing job. You've improved so much over the past two years and I hope that you never give up on your dreams of becoming an even better singer than you already are. The truth about singing is that it's way more difficult than people may realize and I'm so happy to see that you have the determination to keep practicing and improving. There will always be difficulties and room for improvements or adjustments as you age but KEEP GOING! KEEP PROGRESSING! I hope to see you on a huge stage one day, telling everyone your story and showing us all what the power of hope, discipline and faith can produce. Also, you're still young, so please be patient with yourself! If you could accomplish this much now, imagine how much you'll be in the future. Your progress is really need to see! My only tip in your higher register is to relax your neck. You have a great sound, you are engaging a few too many muscles in the neck which MAY tire you out easier. You can see what I'm talking about around 12:57 - 13:01. A practice tip that helped me is to sing on "aye" as if calling out to someone and then on the vowels of the note, just so you get that nice open sound. Like I said, really awesome progress and you have a great sound, just be mindful of potential tension issues.

Great improvement! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾Just a bit of encouragement: never compare someone’s day 3000 with your day 600. Keep at it! Most great singers put years of practice and persistence into their craft and still do. Even great singers want to improve on something. So keep going 🙏🏾😊

This hits so close to home. I had been trying to learn to sing for years but I absolutely hated my voice and it wasn't until a year or two ago when I started watching more KZbin videos and taking online lessons from a vocal coach that I became more comfortable with my voice. I was always told that "singing is a natural born talent" but now I've learnt that it's just another instrument that you can learn if you put in the effort. It wasn't until a year ago that I became comfortable uploading covers on KZbin and I got the confidence after a karaoke night with my friends that were really supportive of me. I still have a long way to go and I'm not yet comfortable performing live or recording a "one-take" cover but this video has inspired me to keep pushing forward ❤. Thank you for sharing this, it's amazing to see how far you've come!

This video is truly inspiring to me. I'm a part-time singer and I've gotten a lot of comments from people saying "You can't sing", "your not good enough", etc. I've been singing for about 8 years - and I still have a lot to improve on (not straining as much, increasing vocal range, vocal control, strengthening my falsetto, etc.). When I was really young I hated the way my voice sounded because to me it sounded "too unique". I had an amazing choir teacher in high school who helped me figure out what I could do to better my vocal skills - and I remember her saying "You have a lot of talent, and if you work hard enough I think you could be an amazing singer". Now singing and being a musician isn't my full-time career right now - but I do share music online, I'm signed to a small indie record label, and I make music to connect with others and share my experiences. I get so many negative comments in my DM's, on TikTok, and on KZbin sometimes - and I've felt constantly that "I'll never be good enough" at something that makes me happy. This video is really inspiring to anyone that you CAN learn to sing - it's not really a thing that some people can or cannot do.. and yes some people are born with a "talent" but that just means that they have a tiny headstart. Anyhow - thank you for this video, David! It means a lot. It takes a lot of courage to share your in-progress skills with the world. I'm glad that you persevered and this video really inspired me to do the same!

Dude, this is so damn relatable. You are doing such an awesome job and your perserverence is everything. Ive sung alone in the shower, car, cleaning at work, humming when I am bored, and just overall practicing some of my favorite songs whenever I had the chance and the struggle is real. I cant even tell you how many times I have made that EXACT face when I lose that note or it just goes so horribly wrong like (0.o) lol where did that come from! Belting is a huge struggle for me too and getting the right tone is pure torture (ahhh im too nasaly or aaaah im too much like a frog in my throat gahhhh!) But the joy I felt when my partner unprompted told me he though I had a nice voice and should try writing music.... You got this, keep going and inspiring others to follow what they love!
