2 YEAR SKIMBOARDING PROGRESSION (2020-2022)

This video shows my progression in skimboarding over the past two years (August 2020 - September 2022). From eating it every time I would try to ride the board to catching waves almost every try now, this video shows my whole journey. Hope you guys enjoy!
A few things about this video / my journey:
1. I can’t drive and I live about 30 - 45 minutes away from the beach so I can only skimboard maybe once to twice a week if I’m lucky.
2. I literally only have one clip of me learning backside in this video but I promise I did learn how to catch waves backside.
3. I don’t have a wetsuit so I also can’t skimboard during the winter.

Super sick progression for 2 years! Couple of pointers don’t be afraid to work on more tech on flat and then transitioning to doing it on waves after. Also be sure to work on running more out to a wave and less parallel and doing both frontside and backside wraps it’ll help you be a way more rounded skimmer

Just work on being able to move your feet around on the board while riding, that back foot is in the perfect spot for when youre planing out but it should be moved back on the board when youre wrapping. All the pros wrap with the foot as far back as possible. I'm at about the same skill level as you rn and thats what i'm working on. Cool vid!
