I just got my landscaping contractor's license in the US and bought this exact setup as a "graduation gift" to myself. I got the battery setup, the Kombi, a extension hedger, a trimmer, and the most powerful blower model. No one runs these or any battery equipment for serious commercial work here in the states. So when I'm using this, I attract a ton of attention because people see the gardener but they DON'T hear any noise or smell fumes! I stop almost every day to talk to someone who's curious and it's a great way to spread the word of my business. Aside from people loving it I love it, my old gas stuff I used for 5 years made the same power but I had to visit the truck for gas and the mechanic for parts far more often. I agree with just about every point you made - thanks for the review.

That's great to hear and good luck with the business👍. The battery equipment is a great tool not only for getting work done but as you say getting noticed and filling up the works diary, especially now with all the environmental concerns where how you do things is as important as what you do. Thanks for taking the time watching the review 👌

No such thing as landscape contractors license in us . 1 . Hydraulics license to operate heavy equipment. 2. Pesticides license 3. Contractors building license.
@samwinglewich21332 жыл бұрын
@@rontopping2048 California requires a contractors license for any landscaping work over 500$. You can either get a general contractors license or get the class c27 which is trade specific to landscape work only. Just because you haven't heard of ot before doesn't mean it "does not exist."

@@samwinglewich2133 wow didn't realize in Massachusetts you need hoisting license to operate equipment. Skid steers, excavators, loaders etc. That's it unless you apply pesticides then you would need license. I forgot California is Democratic state.

Thanks for sharing your experience ! Two years after the video, still happy with it ? Can you recommend a good edge trimmer and blower who fit this back pack ?

It's still running kit well, no loss of charge holding, replaced the cord recently that's it. Any Stihl compatible kit I guess, this the model has been updated now. Cheers 👍

Do you notice any difference now, battery life and power wise, after 3 years of owning it?
@LewisgardenservicesLtd Жыл бұрын
Hi, I'd say no to any reduced run time or power. It can still just about do a full days maintenance or be drained on heavier work in around the same time, although I have no way other than that to test it. It been fully drained and recharged probably 4 days a week for 40 weeks a year for 3 years so it's done well. I 90% of the time have it hooked up to the strimmer, it's had no issues apart from some wear to the rain cover and straps and the connection but from being dropped on floor. Think they're twice the price now but worth it👍 cheers

I find the weak point of these is the metal sheath on the cable. Once it breaks, it's only a matter of time before the additional flexing of the inner cores break through and it shorts out. £100 a time, on my 3rd cable in 3 years of daily use.
@LewisgardenservicesLtd2 жыл бұрын
That's a shame, mine gets caught on bits so I can see how that over bending could cause it to break. Mine is 3 years old now and not wanting to encourage trouble...the only thing on mine is the rain cover bit has split and as like you, used all day every day👍 thanks for watching

Do you think its heavy to wear?

The 3000 is or was when I bought it the heaviest but no, you get used to it and generally don't notice it

@@LewisgardenservicesLtd funny how you can call it 'new build' gardens, same here in Belgium every new house built, has a garden barely the size of the house

I guess there is limited space available now in these housing sites, hopefully a communal park or green space will bring the families together 👍
