Yes, It must be from -infinity to -1. For (-), we advance(Left shift) the signal and for (+), we delay(Right Shift) it. And It's totally okay If they did a small mistake. Ignore it and Continue your watching. Ty.

Sir only one mistake is summation limits is (- infinity to -1) but after reversal of limit it is ( +1 to + infinity) only as you took here'. So final X(z) is correct.

shifting of u(-n-1) signal will have n= -∞ to n= -1

In second example won't the limit be form - infinite to -1 as in case of u(-n-k) shifting is done left side and you have done right shifting

Answer is correct. Here, we first do the shifting then we do the time reversal. But he has done opposite but taken correct limits that's why answer is correct.
