If you have ever been to a show with 100+ degree heat not a cloud in the sky and you look down and your alternator that usually charges at 15.8 is down to 15.4-15.5 idling it's because of the heat I have dedicated 3" bilge style fans under the hood pointed at my alternator on a remote switch for this exact reason it's very very common with bigger systems and a Rule of thumb heat is bad for electronics,subs , voltage, alternators the cooler your equipment the better it performs
