Recently got all my lures and tackle organized using plastic containers with smaller boxes for some and plastic jars for others depending on the shape of the lure etc., for example my smaller size weights or jig heads in plastic jars. If you use cheap batteries be mindful that they don't build them as well. They leak and can mess up the electronics if left in the battery compartment too long. Modern-day major labeled batteries are guaranteed not to leak for a very long time.

That foam in the box also works with small cans of mints if you use closed cell foam. Gift card cans, special promos like for chewing tobacco, etc. Spray entirely with a hard clear coat (matte!!) before gluing on the foam for rust protection, then paint (matte finish!!) the outside when done in your favorite color. Need: tin box, drill, 1/8" bit, two lengths of beaded chain at least 3" long, bead/wire cutters, a sheet of 1/8" closed cell foam if covering whole bottom, OR, 1/4" closed cell foam if making rows like in this video, scissors that can cut either foam size, sharp tip marker, favorite glue (I use super glue), hard, matte, clear coat; matte paint in favorite colors. Length of chain is for hinges if the tin doesn't have its own, so its length varies by your need. Clean and scuff surfaces, spray clear coat and dry. Mark and drill out a hole about 1/4" from one end on the long side (DO THIS ONLY FOR TINS W/O FACTORY HINGES), and another hole evenly placed on the other end of the side you drilled the first one. Run the chains through both lid and tin, adjust the length so you can open and close the tin and the lid dangles only as far as you want, trim any excess. Measure inside of the tin and cut a square of 1/8" foam to fit, OR, decide how many rows you want and cut them from the 1/4" foam. Glue foam in place. Remove chains now if you don't want them painted. Close tin, paint tin, let dry, load, go fishing 🥰 Overspray is a non issue for the interior (just don't hose each hole with paint and maintain a sharp angle on the can relative to the hole) but you can mask the chain holes if you want. Last, I recommend color coding for fly/lure type or using the marker to I. D. the contents as well. A 2nd coat of clear will help maintain your art, remember to reapply clear coat after fixing chips and scratches or re-labelling as marker wears off fairly easily.
