@@gower23 Quite.! Or at least any more with any reliability especially in winter. They can answer Mrs Scroggins' question about what the weather will be in Nether Stowey but cannot be a**ed to address the most noticeable shift in winter weather in our generation.!

@@gower23 I'm guessing that because we seem to have a more reliable Jet these days in winter and maybe with it a more positive NAO it is rare for circumstances to allow for a "if it lasts for four it will last for eight" High over Scandinavia to establish other than following an early winter SSW event. I for one would not want prolonged dry cold air but the odd frost is nice. BTW saw catkins out on 19th and pussy willow starting to swell.
