I can understand most of them but some are not still in my active vocabulary. I especially appreciate the explanations to better understand the differences between near synonyms and the uses in context. Many thanks Max.

A small addition, hover is used for the mouse cursor too, if you don't need to click on an icon for example, just move the cursor on it. - Hover your mouse over "Settings" to see a tooltip.

Hi Max. I discovered your videos on you tube quite recently and I must say appreciate them a lot. Your English lessons are very clear and very rich and are currently part of my daily routine. My sentence would be : "Frankie was a proud of himself. He used to strut across the streets of the neighbourhood in order to impress the women of the village, but apparently without success."

I only know: to swindle, to badmouth, to hover ( first meaning), to stroll, to mumble to grin and to milk (with the first meaning). All other verbs here I didn't meet anywhere. Thank a lot! 🤝😊

You're very kind! (Btw, we only use "sir" for men. Some people use "madam" for women, but that's very formal. Adult students normally just call their teachers by their first names, so you can call me "Max". 🙂)

As a teenager I would wake up with a large grin everyday . everybody liked me for the attitude ,but I later found out that it was all about pleasing other people which is not a good trait to have .

Oh wow , I thought my English was pretty proficient but apparently not so much... I’ve never been to US or England so I dont meet many native speakers but on the BBC news or on youtube you dont hear these words much. I honestly knew about a half of the words. But learning new vocab. is humbling and interresting . Great video , thanks for posting)

1) Nowadays, In the general sense, It means to do or be done; Then the present indefinite tense is used. 2) Present continuous tense is commonly used to indicate that something is happening or going on at the present time. 3) Present perfect- The present perfect is a grammatical combination of the present tense and perfect aspect that is used to express a past event that has present consequences. The term is used particularly in the context of English grammar to refer to forms like 'I have left'. 4) Any work started in the past and is still going on, May continue in the future. Then the present perfect continuous tense is used. Madam, I have written all of those, Are these correct?

You would need to test a range of skills to really now your level, but if you know all those words, then you "probably" have at least a C1 level.

Kind of. The videos that have "advanced" in them are aimed at students with B2 and above (they're mainly aimed at C1/C2 students).

12 of 20. Definitely not C2, but a steady crawl to C2 for sure. PS my first variant was "Definiatly is not C2 but sure a steady crawl to C2". I was lazy enough to correct the mistakes manually so I fed it up to ChatGPT AI to do the job. And here you are. :)

Great lessons Max. A lot of my colleagues don’t get along with our boss, because he’s haughty and they don’t like the way he’s often strutting into our office and ordering us around. When he leaves, they badmouth him behind his back.
