It's without doubt, one of the most lovely open worlds in video games. It's beautiful and vast, yet; feels a little bit empty and gives you that "I'm alone in the world" feeling. I'm late to the party but I've been falling in love with this game for 3 days straight days. It's all heart. Even the evil giant robots gets a lil cute when they are hurt and go on the run. Or when they get confused when taking a hit from far away. Aloy grown into a genius heartthrob! And this story has the exact world building/character growth like all the best graphic novel/comic book storytelling

Sony have already said they consider Horizon to be the start of a major franchise - after the game sold 7.6 million copies when it was up against a new Zelda *and* a new Mass Effect, they'd have been mad not to see Aloy as a licence to print money :)

Just a few other little details not listed on here, but you might be curious about or find helpful: 1: Birds can sometimes be seen flocking together through the air, from geese flying in a V formation, to hundreds of sparrows moving about like a rolling cloud (usually you'll find these in the desert). 2. Sometimes you can find ants carrying leaves climbing up the sides of trees. 3. There are portions of the map you can't reach/view without photo mode or performing serious feats of parkour, but are still insanely detailed. Some of these areas include the buildings and lower plateaus of Meridian - which you can't access naturally but can still reach via jumping off the support beams of the Great Elevator - and the Nora Naming Location seen in the games opening cutscene where Rost takes baby Aloy - sadly you cannot reach this area without the game reseting you for "Leaving the map", but you can still get close enough to view it with photo mode. (There are users on the HZD Reddit page who create photo albums of the various locations throughout the map and highlight the little details most overlook if you wanna check it out for yourself) 4. Glinthawks will pick up and carry off small machine carcasses (Watchers, Striders, etc.) before stripping them for parts. (Unrelated to the game fact - real life vultures do something similarly carry off carcasses and drop them from a large height to break the bones and extract the marrow inside) 5: Aloy WADES through snow, even when running; literally lifting her legs above the snow line to move through it. 6. Footprints left behind in snow will gradually fill up again if there is snowfall. 7: Aloy reacts to the weather/environment. A few of these instances were already pointed out in the video, but here's a couple others: when in the desert, Aloy is fatigued from the heat and will shield her face from the sun and sand-storms, and whilst in snow she will shiver from the cold, her breath will come out as white mist, and she'll even reach out to catch snowflakes as they fall. 8. People will criticise the outfits Aloy wears, and depending on what she's wearing and what location she's in makes the dialogue differ. E.g: If you wear the Carja Blazon armour in an Oseram settlement, people will remark how she's "as bright as a forge fire", or if you wear the Banuk Ice Hunter Outfit in Meridian, people will tell her they're "not intimidated my her savage look." 9. Overridden Sawtooths will stalk their prey. Provided you aren't spotted performing the override sequence, an Overridden Sawtooth will sneak up on unsuspecting enemy's before pouncing. 10. Despite being described as "Hunter Killers", Fireclaws and Frostclaws are not listed as Combat Type machines, rather they are Acquisition Types. Similar to Scrappers and Glinthawks, if there is a machine carcass nearby they will be drawn to it and begin to strip it for parts. 11. The Thunderjaw was the first machine designed for the game, going through several iterations before the final model was created. Each one has 271 animations, 93 destructible armour plates, 12 unique attacks, 67 visuals and 550,000 polygons. 12. Despite their descriptions labelling them as materials for Crafting or Trading, certain items harvested from animals and machines are only good for selling to merchants and have no other use, despite their descriptions saying otherwise. Broadhead, Ravager, Corruptor, and Deathbringer Hearts/Lenses, as well as Goose Bones, are only good for selling for shards, so don't hold on to them and let them take up space in your inventory! (weirdly, you can still purchase Ravager Hearts from the Machine Parts merchant in Meridian for a ridiculously high price)

Not droves of endless shooters (while they have their place) but real artistic expression, a work of art someone can be proud of.
