Horizon Zero Dawn is a great game through and through so how could I not make a video on it appreciating the finer things, Hope you enjoy! P.S. Behind the scenes I've been working on a variety of new types of videos that I'll be bringing to the channel so expect them soon.👌

o Knightz o Two details not mentioned in the video: water actually flows. That is, if you drop something into the water, it will flow downstream. And in the DLC, you/animals/npc’s leave trials in the snow, which get slowly covered back over if its snowing.

yeah they did a great job withthis gam ethe PC version looks gorgeous too. Played i tfor the firsttime last month after finall ygetting around to it. I as yfinall ybecause I got the gam eas soon as i tcam eto PC bu tput i ton hold because life was taking precedence at that time. Onl ycriticism I have with this game is it's save system becaus eonl ybeing able to save a tcampfires does make diong tasks lik ethe cauldrons a little tricky. Outside of that I find very little wrong with the game it's pretty near perfect. I liked th eday/night cycles an the weather systems. For exampl esimulatin gwind in games is no teasy wit hbot hhai rand clot hphysics but I htink they nailed it really well as I liked how Aloy's hair moved and her outfits as well especialy the Carja silks ones. Ver ywell don Guerilla very well done.

@@_nom_ Well it IS a console game first and foremost. Though the PC port (now that its stable) is pretty good and other than a few quirks the controls are pretty intuitive. I'm not entirely sure what you mean about terrible movement mechanics, I've been playing games practically my whole life and it's pretty comparable to other games I've played.

It's without doubt, one of the most lovely open worlds in video games. It's beautiful and vast, yet; feels a little bit empty and gives you that "I'm alone in the world" feeling. Hope that for "Forbidden West" they improve the NPC quest and interaction, more side activities and things to do. A little more like RDR2. But still, I still enjoy HZD

I do. Like breathing, the light shining through the leafs, then "burning" light source (meaning if the sun shines in front of you and there is a tree, the sun is not like a disk but it "overshines" twigs e.g. like burning right through it). If you love this game, then you want to take you time investigating the depth of animation and simulation. I actually took a fair share of time just watching Aloy standing in a rainy and stormy weather conditioning and how she reacts to that.

The number of times you have to kill them is extremely small though, so likely goes unnoticed. I think it's 10 kills for her machines and five for combat, transport and recon machines as a general rule. Some only have to be killed once or twice though (I think bellowbacks, stormbirds and thunderjaws fall into that category).

Just a few other little details not listed on here, but you might be curious about or find helpful: 1: Birds can sometimes be seen flocking together through the air, from geese flying in a V formation, to hundreds of sparrows moving about like a rolling cloud (usually you'll find these in the desert). 2. Sometimes you can find ants carrying leaves climbing up the sides of trees. 3. There are portions of the map you can't reach/view without photo mode or performing serious feats of parkour, but are still insanely detailed. Some of these areas include the buildings and lower plateaus of Meridian - which you can't access naturally but can still reach via jumping off the support beams of the Great Elevator - and the Nora Naming Location seen in the games opening cutscene where Rost takes baby Aloy - sadly you cannot reach this area without the game reseting you for "Leaving the map", but you can still get close enough to view it with photo mode. (There are users on the HZD Reddit page who create photo albums of the various locations throughout the map and highlight the little details most overlook if you wanna check it out for yourself) 4. Glinthawks will pick up and carry off small machine carcasses (Watchers, Striders, etc.) before stripping them for parts. (Unrelated to the game fact - real life vultures do something similarly carry off carcasses and drop them from a large height to break the bones and extract the marrow inside) 5: Aloy WADES through snow, even when running; literally lifting her legs above the snow line to move through it. 6. Footprints left behind in snow will gradually fill up again if there is snowfall. 7: Aloy reacts to the weather/environment. A few of these instances were already pointed out in the video, but here's a couple others: when in the desert, Aloy is fatigued from the heat and will shield her face from the sun and sand-storms, and whilst in snow she will shiver from the cold, her breath will come out as white mist, and she'll even reach out to catch snowflakes as they fall. 8. People will criticise the outfits Aloy wears, and depending on what she's wearing and what location she's in makes the dialogue differ. E.g: If you wear the Carja Blazon armour in an Oseram settlement, people will remark how she's "as bright as a forge fire", or if you wear the Banuk Ice Hunter Outfit in Meridian, people will tell her they're "not intimidated my her savage look." 9. Overridden Sawtooths will stalk their prey. Provided you aren't spotted performing the override sequence, an Overridden Sawtooth will sneak up on unsuspecting enemy's before pouncing. 10. Despite being described as "Hunter Killers", Fireclaws and Frostclaws are not listed as Combat Type machines, rather they are Acquisition Types. Similar to Scrappers and Glinthawks, if there is a machine carcass nearby they will be drawn to it and begin to strip it for parts. 11. The Thunderjaw was the first machine designed for the game, going through several iterations before the final model was created. Each one has 271 animations, 93 destructible armour plates, 12 unique attacks, 67 visuals and 550,000 polygons. 12. Despite their descriptions labelling them as materials for Crafting or Trading, certain items harvested from animals and machines are only good for selling to merchants and have no other use, despite their descriptions saying otherwise. Broadhead, Ravager, Corruptor, and Deathbringer Hearts/Lenses, as well as Goose Bones, are only good for selling for shards, so don't hold on to them and let them take up space in your inventory! (weirdly, you can still purchase Ravager Hearts from the Machine Parts merchant in Meridian for a ridiculously high price)

Gaia.. It's my first PS4 game n absolutely love it. AI is also very good. I had escaped a storm bird by fast travel.(killed one had to flee its enraged mate) N it used come every campfire n attack me whenever I visit in the same surrounding area. I killed it near great run hunting ground n that stopped. Nice details. Subbed 👍

This, Ghost of Tsushima, Last of us 2 and God of War are some of the most beautiful games that came out in the PS4 generation. And now that it’s on PC and I get to experience it, I’m one happy camper

The evaporating puddles had me amazied, I was like a child with my moth wide open, GAIA do I love this game ! Thanks for pointing all of those details out ! I did see some of those ; the reactions to the rain, Aloy's hair, but I hadn't noticed so many others. I saw the beautiful lighting but never in such details, omg I love it so much

I would buy this game again if I could. It has aged so well. I just started a new play through and I’m loving it all over again.

What I like more is that some of these are almost unmissable if you play long enough. Makes you appreciate them more. And good job on the devs' part investing in details that'll actually be seen rather than super obscure albeit neat details. Good video.
