The rest is just a story. Obviously a story will be different, but the gameplay is all but GOW rip-off. Is not inspired, is a rip-off. Inspired will be like GOW to DMC. Sony wanted to prove that western creator can also create an action hack & slash game like DMC, so GOW was born, and the gameplay is not a DMC rip-off. Don't get me wrong, I love Dante's Inferno, but it is a rip-off of GOW. Story differences doesn't count coz this is video game, not movie.

@@thedarkdojo5115 Dante's Inferno use the same attack style like GOW, the only different is the weapon, but how the weapon attack is exact similar to GOW, triangle 3 times for smashing the weapon, hold triangle to launch the character and then jump in slow-mo just like GOW. Hold square to do a rush slow-mo fiery attack, like GOW. L1 + square for special horizontal attack, just like GOW. L1 + triangle for special vertical attack, just like GOW. Press circle to execute the enemy, like GOW. Parry system work exactly like GOW. Dante can ride bigger enemies, just like Kratos in GOW. Boss fight has phase, winning each phase grant you health and magic orb, just like GOW. The magic system work like GOW. The magic slot place exactly like GOW. The fountain system work exactly like chest system in GOW. There you go. Is not about button mashing here. Of course button mash doesn't make the game rip-off. This is about the whole pattern is the exact copy of other game. I know you try to deny it. You even comment to me on other thread like oh similar is not same, whatever. Suit yourself want to accept or not.

Also I know the first title I'm about to go into had one come out on the ps2 era consoles. but one game that was awesome was gun fair which red dead redemption took a lot of inspiration from gun. where red dead revolver was basically a 3rd person shooter gun brought the wild west idea to an open world about 3 or 4 years before rockstar did.

“Pump It Up” franchise is a rip-off of “Dance Dance Revolution” franchise and both are still going on even to this day. Both use the dance pad to play the game even if they are different. Konami filed the law suit against Andamiro (creator of Pump It Up franchise)

Killer Instinct is not a rip-off of MK, rather it was inspired by both MK and SF. That why the game succeed. They not copy paste, unlike Tattoo Assassins, Fighter History, Art of Fighting, who just a straight copy of MK and SF. Hell MK has so many rip-off compare to SF actually. The great Giana sister was like an improved version of Super Mario 1 - more than a copy. Some levels are similar, but there is more variety, more enemy, power up and overall better level design especially after lvl 12. And way harder... (one hit you die, no becoming small like Mario). Also the video shows the Commodore version, I had the Amiga version much better graphic.

Yeah I remember when Disney Infinity started back in 2013, I could smell the Skylanders ripoff from miles away! Now I get that Skylanders inspired the Toys to Life genre. When a gaming genre begins it seems unique at first until other entries are made, which doesn't necessarily make them ripoffs. For example, saying Nintendo's Amiibos are a ripoff of Skylanders is like saying Duke Nukem was a ripoff of Doom (trying to give an example of when the FPS genre was in its starting years long before it expanded. I think you get what I'm trying to say here right?) But yeah Disney Infinity just had way too many obvious similarities to justify. At least Amiibos had some originality and were designed for multiple Nintendo games/franchises (not to mention Amiibos are also the only Toys to Life line that still continues to this very day, while the rest seem to be dying out), but the same can't be said for Disney Infinity. I mean, it even has the frickin Portal Platform that you put the toys on to sync with the game! Gee, where did they get that idea from? Even Amiibos didn't do that! (Though fun fact, they did once do a crossover with Skylanders in Superchargers where Bowser and Donkey Kong made guest star appearances as half Skylander/Amiibo hybrid figures!)... Okay I know Lego Dimensions had a Portal like that too, but even that had more of a uniquely creative aspect as you could actually build the Portal however you want via being made of Lego! At least they tried something different, unlike Disney Infinity. I honestly think it should've been a little higher on this list, but that's just me.

I played N.O.V.A in my smartphone. Not gonna lie, it was lots of fun and i enjoyed it. Although that the Multi-player experience reminded me about Halo but the game was awesome. Thank you for creating this video. Keep going. :)

Well some of them are actually good like Dantes inferno I played it on psp, it's not a god of war clone game mechanics are not similar. Nowadays is nothing original anymore.

Dante's inferno weapon combo is similar to Kratos weapon combo. The magic system is the same like GOW magic system. The magic slot is the same like magic slot in GOW3. The parry system is the same like GOW parry system. The button configuration for attack is similar to GOW button configuration. The fountain system is the same like chest system in GOW. It is a rip-off, clone of GOW. Don't get me wrong, I love Dante's Inferno but there's no deny here it was a complete copy of GOW. The only different is the storyline..that all.
