Good luck finding a Toyota/Lexus under 10k unless it has 300k plus miles.

They're rare, yeah. But if you can manage one, some modifications overtime, and you'll be good for years.

I was able to find a 2005 Toyota Tundra Double Cab 4wd with 180k miles for 8k$ here in SoCal. It is salvaged title due to theft but has no frame damage or body damage. I did put another 5k in maintenance and upgrades, but I’m happy with the reliability and utility of the truck.

agree. Same with the Avalanche. Whoever compiled this listed, hasn't looked at the market in a while.

Those older Toyota/Lexus rigs will be good for many more miles so it is all good.

I found a 2012 toyota tundra with 175k miles for 9k! It has hail damage but the interior and engine are in great shape.

Gx470 for the win, it is easily the most modern design on the list. I absolutely love mine because it has more features than a lot of brand new cars over 30k, and wayyyyy more than other cars on the list. It even comes with a standard 12v wall outlet in the back for all your camping needs. Heated seats, auto climate control, leather literally everywhere with suede headliner, and a glossy wood wheel that looks good forever damn near. Everyone that gets in my Lexus always says it’s a really nice car and they expected it to be closer to a 2015 model year than a 2006 with 200,000 miles lol.
@trailingoffroad24 күн бұрын
I hear ya! The features on that are unbeatable.

A decent fzj80 for under 10k, good luck, if you do find one it will need 5k worth of maintenance...
@trailingoffroadАй бұрын
You have a point, but you'll find one around 10k. You may have to go a bit higher, but it won't cross 15k.

Just bought a 5-Speed 2nd Gen 4Runner for $6K, with 227,XXX miles on the odometer. It was near mint, except for the few faded paint spots. In ran fine, but then it needed its water pump changed. While I was in there, I replaced the timing belt. All of this done at the mechanic because I didn’t have time. So, needless to say, I spent a bit more than $6K. On the other hand, these 2nd Gen or most Toyota’s are $8K or more! They’re becoming really expensive.

Glad to hear you're enjoying your 4runner! And yeah, Toyotas are getting quite expensive day by day!
