I've thought a lot about how, since the Org 13 members were numbered in the order they joined, Isa would have been nobody'd before Lea- so Lea, who we know as always having been empathetic and charismatic, had to watch Isa go through whatever that entailed (and I think I've heard theories that Xemnas' twin laser-swords gave Isa his x-scar, which may also be tied to that moment). Really just sounds like a tragic thing for a kid like Lea to go witness, especially knowing that he'd be next.

I don't know if this has been mentioned already, but there's a particular Ansem Report from the first game that I always found creepy; apprentice Xehanort mentions offering both living and nonliving "samples" to the Heartless, and noting that they only respond to the living samples. Two things that are creepy for me is the fact that KH2’s secret reports can easily be read as a suicide note. Most of it is Ansem pouring his frustrations about the injustices in his life, his growing despair, and notes about the next generation having a better chance at life than himself... only to end with the final report asking his closest friend Mickey to forgive him for what he’s about to do. Imagine if Mickey found the notes and realizing what was going to happen- I feel like if Mickey did read the notes he wouldn’t have allowed Ansem to be anywhere near that machine. Not to mention that Mickey never got to read the notes. It was all found by Sora. So either Sora delves into a very personal matter involving the King’s personal life and DOESN’T show him the reports... or Sora shares the reports after the events of KH2 when it is already too late. The other creepy and sad thing about Mickey is his powerlessness against the fate of his friends. He was the only survivor of a war he wasn’t even supposed to be involved with. Then spent ten years searching for his missing friends (he didn’t know where Aqua was during this time. Only knew that she was missing)- then after finally finding her again, gets separated again. Mickey doesn’t meet up with Riku in Chain of Memories late game which is never explained.... but I think he was still in the Realm of Darkness still searching for Aqua. Not wanting to leave her behind. But he only met with Riku when he realized that the boy wouldn’t make it otherwise. So he has to live with the fact Aqua is still in the Realm on top of trying to keep tabs and help a boy teetering on the very darkness that captured her... and then losing Ansem, one of his closest friends literally a year later. I’m just saying... it’s no wonder why he is so set on keeping out of danger and has such a huge reaction when Goofy nearly died. Cause up until this point, Mickey has lost or almost lost everyone close to him. And proves why Xehanort got him visibly angry in DDD- because only Xehanort knows the feelings Mickey is going through while trying to keep a cheerful demeanor regardless... and that doesn’t mesh well. It kinda puts the secret ending of Melody of Memory in perspective (not to mention his huge fight scene in Remind). The King’s got anxiety and can not hide behind his cheerful demeanor forever.
@MegaSpideyman3 жыл бұрын
Never thought of that interpretation.

@@MegaSpideyman I may or may not have spent too much time analyzing King Mickey’s character in the Kingdom Hearts series, but it’s really interesting to take his role in the story and dissect it based on hints given by his actions and mannerisms. For example, Mickey uses time magic. Why? Well, considering what we know about his unfortunate involvement with watching his friends suffer a terrible fate in BBS... and being the only one to live through it unscathed.... his affinity for time magic could represent that he’s always looking back on his past mistakes. And that he never wants to experience that kind of loss again like he did at the end of BBS... which explains his sudden desperation for Sora not to leave at the end of KH3. There’s a lot more, but I’m considering making a video about it. If anything I’m just wanting to make sure I’m not stretching into wild theories at this point. ^^

The nature of the keyblade itself is pretty scary. It's treated like it's own being and just having one can make you a target of the darkness/heartless. It's also a parasitic relationship, even the way it's handed down is like a parasite passing down to another host.

You wanna hear something creepy? How's the implication of Ventus being possibly possessed and influenced to straight up murder another person his age in UX? When he remembers it in some of the newer updates, it looks like its messed him up seriously mentally. And I know Chirithy says he doesn't remember those times in KH3... but what if he did? Surr seemed quite welcoming of Chirithy in that game's ending. It puts "Lost Memory" and his breakdown remembering his trauma in BBS in a whole different light with itput into consideration. Hell, him just asking Terra and Aqua to end him can be creepy enough in its own way.

KHuX adds a whole other layer of creepiness. The Darkness throughout the entire series turned out to come from a sentient race of beings that once looked human, then became formless shapeshifting clouds of darkness that are only trying to understand humanity because they dont understand us, and do so by hiding in people and granting their deepest desires like wishing on a monkeys paw subconciously. And they can be invisible and around you at any time. Then there's Lauriam/Marluxia' sister coming back seemingly like his final form from COM. Since he had no keyblade he either has to kill himself to cast aside his body like how Eraqus dies to pass his heart into Terra, or can just do it and has to dispose of the previous body. And add to that he possessed countless people essentially killing them. Even Xehanort only did that once but to someone who put up a fight. Dude is serial killer creepy.

I always thought Traverse Town had a specifically unsettling vibe. For one, it’s full of traumatized refugees going on about the darkness. But isn’t it also the place Mickey went to find a way to the dark realm? That feeling of being so close to the darkness and perpetually night time is intense. On that note, all the doors you can’t go through and the creepy painting guy always gave me the feeling that The Organization was hiding just around the corner. Heck, maybe Axel or Xigbar were the creepy painting guy! We’ll never know

Yeah I agree with you by the way it's very possible that in kh1 there's a uneasy feeling that someone is watching you especially in traverse town. I honestly think it's possible that organization 13 was in kh1 hiding in the shadows stalking sora throughout the entirety of his adventure. I wouldn't be surprised if axel or xigbar was the guy behind the desk in the traverse town hotel. It would possible if in a future kingdom hearts game axel confesses to Kairi or riku or sora (if sora is saved) that he was assigned by the organization to go to traverse town to watch sora and co during the entirety of their visits and disguised himself as the creepy guy behind the desk in the hotel to avoid getting his cover blown.

For the first one, the machine doesn't erase your memory or make you forget. The machine is called the Ark and Maleficent used it twice in KHUX and didn't lose her memory. For the mansion, its most likely the pod where they put Donald or Goofy in when Sora was recovering his memories. An interesting thing for Scar, in Lion Guard, he got his scar from a cobra and its venom can make someone slowly turn evil. between the name and its proximity to the realm of darkness, i have a hard time imagining twtnw existing independently of the organization. the name especially suggests that it's not a "true" world, but rather part of the end of sea or a remnant of the end of the world where the organization built their base - thus, despite the storied history that the city and castle might suggest, it's all just a hollow imitation of a world actually lived which is also why there's likely a city in the first place - nobodies almost certainly don't require living quarters, but we see even the higher ups of the organization performing menial tasks and spending time with old hobbies just to distract from their emptiness. it's not hard to imagine the lower-rank nobodies being naturally inclined to construct an imitation of a city to play out an imitation of their old lives, although it is pretty sad much less sad, however, is imagining axel and saix going shopping in the grocer that never was and all the staff and other customers are just dusks 'n shit. χ-brand corn flakes, anyone?

Perhaps the most disturbing KH moments for me are Nightmare Chirithy absorbing Darklings and a Cybug doing it again later with another Darkling. Here's something creepy for you(SPOILER ALERT): In KH: Unchained, after Darkness reveals itself to the current Union leaders, it mentions that its kind are normally invisible to those of the Light, meaning dozens of "Darkness'" could be in the room at any time, and no one would notice, and given the fact Darkness can possess others, that just multiplies the creepiness factor well beyond any comfort level.

Pretty sure the reason the lesser Nobodies were grabbing for the hearts was they were hoping to get ahold of that body and soul's respective heart and become whole again. Adds a layer of sadness to it.

Speaking of Leach Grave what felt the need to chain it up. It's clearly locked in a chained up coffin. So what being thought it was so dangerous that they felt the need to lock it in that coffin.

I consider Vanitas to be one of the creepiest villains in non-horror games aside from The SA-X from Metroid Fusion, Mimi from Super Paper Mario(Although cute, split her neck open to turn into a spider abomination) and Kefka Palazzo from Final Fantasy VI.

I had to stop playing Kh1 as a kid for a while after Ursulas second battle. When I was a kid my mom used to read the Bible to us and I remember walking by and hearing her say something along the lines of "if you call someone a pathetic fool, you will go straight to hell". So me being a kid was terrified of ever calling someone that, thinking I would be burning for all eternity lol. So When she calls sora a "pathetic fool", it scared me so bad I thought the game was evil LOL. Anyway, I'm not crazy religious, and never really was. But it has always stuck with me, that gross fear from it. I'm about to be 29 and still get that creepy feeling when I replay that part.

Kh 0.2 Is the closest to a kingdom hearts horror Game it's basically a survival horror game due to the soundtrack due to the enviorment and atmosphere. due to the parts where the music stops and something jumps out such as the heartless wave/tide In cinderellas world before you leave to go to the dwarf woodlands. and due to items being scarce and you have to find them just like any item in a survival horror game.

The one thing I don't get about Guardian is... Riku when he "was" "Ansem" like.. that I doubt was supposed to be Terra at the time (since obviously was an actual idea made later) but like what if it was? Riku just had control of Guardian or something and never was like "wait why can I feel a heart in this dark monster that I can summon?" This isn't creepy just.. a question.. or could be creepy if it is supposed to be Terra Btw the hooded figure/hooded ansem.. there are not arm holes in the robe.. they are closed off nubs..
@Rettomus3 жыл бұрын
I mean timeline-wise it obviously *is* Terra, and it possibly was intended that way back then as well. While the original game was planned in a way it could stand alone, with a few hooks forward, I read the story for the "2nd batch" of games (KH2, Days, BbS, and maybe coded and CoM) were planned simultaneously. That way they could drop hints and references throughout the games. (Like Roxas losing consciousness when entering Castle Oblivion and Xigbar saying that Sora isn't half the wielder the "others" were etc)

Proof of existence is easily the single most disturbing room in kingdom hearts. Think about it the organization chose to make the doors to their rooms gravestones, and whenever a member dies the light goes from blue to red. They also destroy the doors of the dead members (and Roxas). Which seems rather vindictive for people with no emotions.

What about "The True Dandelion" that Luxu loads into the ARK to be sent away to the future? This is probably Ephemer, so he's just throwing away a fifteen-year-old boy's life like it means nothing. Ephemer gets to live again -- briefly -- in Kingdom Hearts III when he saves Sora with the help of the other New Foretellers, but other than that he's just a heart floating in nothing for... what? Two hundred years? More? Even Skuld has it better than that.

something that bugs is why is there like a whole city in The World That Never Was like who lived there. The truck proves some sort of life in the city. Why is no one there. Did it use to be a world with people. If the Final World is basically a world version of heartless then is TWTNW a world version of a nobody. That's a creepy thought the world that never was being an empty husk of a world. Maybe all the people there turned into nobodies in the process and thats why there's so many of them there.

Maybe theres people who still live there and they stay hidden indoors which could explain why the lights in all the buildings are on. Maybe the city was once a peaceful loving city and until the organization came to take it over causing the inhabitants of the city to stay hidden indoors which could explain why the city is dark and gloomy and it's always night time there and it always occasionally rains there.

The fact traverse town even exists is kinda freaky. Like imagine knowing that world being destroyed is so common the universe itself has a safeguard for anyone lucky enough to survive the first time. It’s also inherently not safe from the same fate since we see heartless there anyway. DDD makes it even worse cause we see that to some extent it’s MASSIVE too which is even more worrying
@chalk3323 Жыл бұрын
Watching this and particularly the first bit about Kairi and her memory made me realize that that actually tracks really well with the other characters we've seen using the Ark. They've all had memory issues. We've never seen it confirmed or anything, but it's fairly consistent. Marluxia and Larxene don't seem to remember anything until their second Nobody death, we don't know enough about Skuld to know what happened there, Ventus definitely has no memory, Maleficent doesn't remember her time in the past (though she's aware that the existence of the Book of Prophecies is etched on her heart, so she might at least know that she *did* time travel). I never considered Kairi in all of this, but yeah, guess it happened to her too (though could ofc be argued that hers is about the trauma instead, since she didn't use the Ark to travel in the same way as any of the others)

Let's not forget transverse town You get there and expect a place full of people which is true for the first district but as soon as you enter the second its becomes like a Halloween story everyone having been abducted at the same time while the Lights are still on and everything runs as if everyone just went on a break for 5 minutes (which is actually what the sign in the hotel says) only that they never come back
