The one who wrote this script obviously knows nothing about sweet potatoes. Sweet potatoes can in no way be considered “mashed potatoes.”

You can mash them, but they will always be sweet taters, and thank God for the small favors!

So my question is what pies are popular now??? After watching several of these I think that pies have just gone out of fashion so these folks can make lots of videos about pies from days gone by😂...apple, cherry, pumpkin??? Chocolate cream?...

These pies aren't forgotten, what's been forgotten is how to cook. People seem to have gotten stupid since microwaves and air fryers hit the markets. People now want instant food, not something that requires following directions to make.

From what I heard, those after Gen X didn't know how to cook at all until the pandemic. They made sure you were told how great they were at cooking.

Please fix the narration for this nice video, many words are continually cut off, voice fading out at times. The music is nice, but a little too loud which adds to the challenge of hearing what's being said. I'm only 4 minutes in, so I'll start over with sound off, see if the information will come across in subtitles.

I make buttermilk pies, sometimes with whole or chopped pecans on the top. After people get over the name, it's always a hit. Also make a Nantucket Cranberry Tart/Pie come the holidays, easy and yummy. And then there's my mother's lemon meringue, Her recipe, which is different from every other lemon pie recipe I've ever seen. Adults seem to like it because zest amps up the flavor, and it's not as teeth-achingly sweet.

Nope, no one sitting around playing a game of Chess ordered a slice of pie in a pub and therefore, that pie was called Chess Pie. If you hear a Southerner pronounce Chess Pie it comes out much in sound like.... "Just Pie"!! It's Just Pie with it's few, simple ingredients.
