When I lived in PV. The late 1950s. My dad started the first commercial laundry. Today PV is a movie prop for the tourists and that's it.

It will be about a 15 minute taxi ride to get to downtown. Type in Turismo Puerto Vallarta on google maps and the one at the plaza is the meeting spot

I will be visiting in July 22 was wondering if you have visited pv in summer if so what are your thoughts and is the walking tour available during summer?

I visited PV a few years back as my first solo adventure outside Canada. I will honestly say that I felt lost, overwhelmed and a bit scared(even as a 6'4 220lb guy). I enjoyed my time there but after I left and looked at my pictures I realized I missed out on really enjoying it. I have been having a craving for going back recently and will definately be going 2024. On a side note...you look familiar lol (like irl). I look forward to watching more of your videos :)

I don't think I've ever been to Puerto Vallarta but the last time I went to Nuevo Vallarta was in 2009. I get the awesome chance to actually go to PV by cruise in february. Can't wait! Also, do you happen to know if there are any shells on the beaches?

Yeah, just got back from first time visit to PV. Pay attention to what time of year you go. When its hot, its HOT. And climbing up to the Mirador isn't for everyone. It is a long, LONG way up there. Solid steps the entire way. We were sweating profusely and exhausted and just gave up and went to the lighthouse instead. The view there was awesome too. It was just down the street from Our Lady of Guadalupe. And we work out and walk 6 days a week. So just be aware. We actually didn't enjoy old PV too much. It was a combination of things. The heat, the humidity, the dirt and grime. It hadn't rained in months when we were there. Everything outside had dirt and grime on it. You couldn't just sit down anywhere. And I don't know if it was trash day or if there was a garbage strike, but there was trash piled up everywhere. And not just household garbage either. Pallets, mattresses, boxes, etc. were piled up everywhere. That and when you were on the busy streets and the traffic stopped, the exhaust smell was overwhelming. The mrs. said she never needed to go back into old PV. I'm willing to give it another shot, but it will definitely be at a different time of year.

El Eden de Mismaloya (south of PV) is the place to be, where they filmed the first Predator movie. Lovely waterfalls (cascades) and a leftover wreck of a Huey. Shouldn’t mention this spot here to prevent overtourism.

Thanks for this video. I would have had a hard time not scooping up that little white dog that needed attention at the end there. This is one of the things holding me back from going to Mexico. It's gonna break my heart.

It's actually getting a lot better now! Way more dogs are now pets instead of strays compared to even 3-4 years ago. I feel you though, our dog is also a rescue.

I stayed at Hotel Rosito last May and even though the location was great - the hotel was not great. I had a room on the south side and with the door open - it was too loud. My room had a partial balcony but not big enough to walk out on and enjoy. And both the room and bathroom were small. I booked a trip back to Puerto Vallarta and leaving tomorrow but I would never again stay at Hotel Rosito. I booked this trip at a hotel that you just mentioned - Hotel Luna.
