That little lamp has 4 light beads! Fabulous! And the shape is very convenient. I've found that you can use a mini uv lamp easily by laying it on its side, turn it on, then put nail in. Or just use the big lamp and put your finger in front of it. It'll still flash cure.

Beautiful mani! And that blue on your middle finger........... 😍 I've been using this Beetles kit for a couple months now and I totally agree with you; it is awesome! One trick I've found, especially if you're wanting longevity, is to put the tip about 1/4 inch away from the cuticle. Once it's cured, go in with a coat of the "glue" used to apply the tip, and use it to fill the step into your natural nail; cure again. It may still need a bit of filing to get rid of the ridge, but there won't be an obvious step off when the nails start growing out.

I might suggest using a super thick gel - like a builder or poly gel to adhere them. That’ll fill the gap better than a gel “glue” (it’s a gel base coat essentially)

Solid nail glue may also be a good option for flat nails. Kiss flexi fit nails are good for flat nails too as they're flexible enough to flatten out to better fit and eliminate air bubbles.

Yet I plod on, determined to have pretty nails for the 2nd half of my life! Did the glue/gel get onto skin under nail? Hi Marla! When you put your finger with the newly added extension under the light, it looks like your thumb is covering the extension. Does it cure that way? I have a problem trying to figure out how to hold the extension and get it cured without making it crooked. Your thumb move looks really smart! Yep I definitely keep pressure with my thumb (or index when I’m doing my thumb) on the nail for at least 15 sec while it cures. Then I can remove the pressure and just let them finish curing!

I absolutely love the light blues and the glitter, surprisingly I REALLY like that dark teal, but the dark blue looks like it's a little more into the purple range - not that it's not pretty, it just doesn't look like a true blue. Hey love! I actually don’t recommend using builder gel under full cover extensions. The extensions are best applied over your natural nails. You can follow my application for these extensions, then apply peel base, then just dip as usual with gel liquids!

I like to use peel base - makes removal easy but doesn’t last very long. However, yep, you can file off the color when you’re ready for a new set! Acetone will break down the tips so I’d stay away from that.

I’ve had them on for a few weeks now and I haven’t had any reaction but that can vary from human to human. Try not to get it on your skin! So.. all tips are plastic. Gel and acrylic are plastic! Just in different forms. Kinda like how water, Ice, and steam are all the same.
