That little lamp has 4 light beads! Fabulous! And the shape is very convenient. I've found that you can use a mini uv lamp easily by laying it on its side, turn it on, then put nail in. Or just use the big lamp and put your finger in front of it. It'll still flash cure.

Beautiful mani! And that blue on your middle finger........... 😍 I've been using this Beetles kit for a couple months now and I totally agree with you; it is awesome! One trick I've found, especially if you're wanting longevity, is to put the tip about 1/4 inch away from the cuticle. Once it's cured, go in with a coat of the "glue" used to apply the tip, and use it to fill the step into your natural nail; cure again. It may still need a bit of filing to get rid of the ridge, but there won't be an obvious step off when the nails start growing out.

Yet I plod on, determined to have pretty nails for the 2nd half of my life! Did the glue/gel get onto skin under nail? I absolutely love the light blues and the glitter, surprisingly I REALLY like that dark teal, but the dark blue looks like it's a little more into the purple range - not that it's not pretty, it just doesn't look like a true blue. I’d you’re ok with using gel.. full coverage are the easiest way to go. If you want to avoid gel products, tips with glue is the better option 💙

Here’s the thing.. gel IS plastic. So all tips, whether they claim to be gel or not, are all the same. It’s just a matter of how they’re manufactured.

Yes!! You can always rebalance the apex with filing and builder gel. I’ve already done a fill on these and they came out perfect.

I like to use peel base - makes removal easy but doesn’t last very long. However, yep, you can file off the color when you’re ready for a new set! Acetone will break down the tips so I’d stay away from that.

You can use nail glue! Dip base is essentially nail glue so you can use that too!

I might suggest using a super thick gel - like a builder or poly gel to adhere them. That’ll fill the gap better than a gel “glue” (it’s a gel base coat essentially)

Solid nail glue may also be a good option for flat nails. Kiss flexi fit nails are good for flat nails too as they're flexible enough to flatten out to better fit and eliminate air bubbles.

How do you decide whether to dip the nail into the powder or pour the powder over the nail?

Mostly it’s personal preference but I do find that pouring over dark shades can prevent staining 💞

Tried to do my BFF nails for a wedding. she has little apex, and the beetles glue was everywhere. when we cured most had air pockets in them :( suggestions? Thanks as always!!

You can use something thicker to apply the extensions! Builder gel or even polygel will work!

Actually either! Longevity depends more on how you prep the nails and less about what you apply to them 💕

Hi Marla! When you put your finger with the newly added extension under the light, it looks like your thumb is covering the extension. Does it cure that way? I have a problem trying to figure out how to hold the extension and get it cured without making it crooked. Your thumb move looks really smart! Yep I definitely keep pressure with my thumb (or index when I’m doing my thumb) on the nail for at least 15 sec while it cures. Then I can remove the pressure and just let them finish curing!

Hey love! I actually don’t recommend using builder gel under full cover extensions. The extensions are best applied over your natural nails. You can follow my application for these extensions, then apply peel base, then just dip as usual with gel liquids!

It’s not impossible but it’s incredibly difficult and messy. They tend to not last as long too bc water breaks down glue whereas gel is not water permeable

Hey darlin! The best removal I’ve found is to file down as much as possible without hitting nail and then soaking the rest off. It’s a little time consuming, but IMO the most efficient way. 💙

What’s the best way to remove these tips. I need to re-so them! I used waaaay to much gel/glue (ooopsss) when I did them the first time so I want to redo them. Thank you!

Do you worry about the gel glue under your nails causing a gel allergy? I’m experiencing issues with gel…

As long as it's not touching your skin you should be ok. You can also attach them in a similar way with regular glue or even dip base. I also have issues with some gels and usually use nail glue instead.

I saw so many bad reviews with reactions so I have been very hesitant to buy it. But.. the only way to know if I have a reaction is to try it! Are these extensions plastic or are they the gel?

I’ve had them on for a few weeks now and I haven’t had any reaction but that can vary from human to human. Try not to get it on your skin! So.. all tips are plastic. Gel and acrylic are plastic! Just in different forms. Kinda like how water, Ice, and steam are all the same.

@@MarlaKris aahhh. That makes sense about the plastic! I have used gel consistently for a few years and didn’t have a problem. I just started my dip journey about 7 months ago and I am SO GLAD I did! I’m hoping these extensions work for me! 🤞🏻 I have one nail that’s very short due to a break but I may put a form up to the free edge before applying this gel tip system so I don’t get it on my hyponychium and 🤞🏻avoid a reaction! You’re awesome! I look forward to upload days! 💜💜
