Another great video! I'd love to see a dedicated one to dry flower dips. I think that would be really helpful as I am nervous about using mine.

any chance you can do a video showing dip directly on builder gel (and tips?), without peel base, and the process of removing that dip to switch out the dip/color (including glitters etc)? for dips that last 3+ weeks instead of a couple days!

Beautiful as usual!! I have a question….when you showed how you can either buff your full cover tips at the end, or leave them shiny, I thought dip didn’t adhere that well over a shiny smooth surface like that, so you should buff the surface for better adhesion prior to applying the dip base to the full cover tips. I’m so confused 🤔….. Please let me know, Thanks!! 😉

Absolutely love your videos and i absolutely love this mani. A couple questions if you don’t mind. What’s on your nails before you apply the the base coat? How long did you dip before you felt like you had a handle on it? When is your next dip class? I would appreciate a video dedicated to flower dips. I eventually want to do a milk bath mani and I’d like to incorporate a dip with flowers. Thanks!
@CaroleAnnette2 жыл бұрын
Hi!! 💖 What base coat are you referring to? Gel base coat or dip base coat? I used both in this video. Oh man… my first year of dipping I was very inconsistent with it. So I feel like it took me another 6 months on top of that to really get my groove. We don’t have a date for the next dip class yet. 🥹 but if I get more requests for it, I can get one scheduled soon.

Hey! So usually people use gel polish over gelly tips. 99% of my nail collection is dip powder though. So rather than go buy gel polishes, I use my dip powders. I use the gelly tips to give my nails a shape and a nice arch, which is more difficult to achieve with just dip powder alone.
@moandro102 жыл бұрын
Hello! Thanks for the reply! I’ll have to show my aunt. She is a DIYer and just started using dip powder (I gave her my entire collection, I only use gel products on clients). I taught her how to use builder gel but dip powder is a bit harder to shape IMO.

Can I ask what method dip you are doing? I don’t know much about nails but my dip powder says to do a 45’ angle and this method seems like maybe it’s easier and not as clumpy?

How do you remove the dip color without damaging the gelly tips?
@CaroleAnnette2 жыл бұрын
Peel base is a good option (apply it before doing the dip) Using an efile to drill off the dip color is the other best option.

Gelly tips 💙 They’re sooooo easy once you get the technique down. They’re already shaped and sculpted for you, it’s like the best of both worlds (pre shaped tips and builder gel into one system )

How long do they last
@CaroleAnnette Жыл бұрын
So long! If you prep well and use a gel primer and gel base coat to apply the tips, they last 2-4 weeks. Some people can get even longer wear than that (I personally can't handle seeing the growth).

PLEASE keep your nails in the middle of the video! The majority of your tutorial is your nail practically cut off at the top of the screen. I can barely see what you’re doing. It’s very annoying. It makes me want to stop watching because you’re not paying attention.

The dip powder should NOT be the focus of your video, your nails should be.
