I think you should try out the cold steel airlite. I know you've alot nicer more premium knives but the airlite is a great edc. Slim in pocket, slicey blade and since it's a triad lock you know you're safe if you have to beat on it. I think you should try it out, but of course you have alot better knives but just an experience!

I know most everyone will disagree with me but I consider lock stick a good thing, it adds a measure of safety to the blade lockbar interface. . Any framelock with a titanium frame minus a steel lockbar insert needs some degree of stick to ensure that the blade stays in place. By working out the stick aren't you just wearing the frame lock down and smoothing out the titanium just to facilitate an easier closing of the knife?
@NeevesKnives4 жыл бұрын
See I dont mind a little assurance from a little stick, but ive seen so many titanium framelocks done that have no slip or stick, so i know they can have incredible lock up with no still and ive even tested many of them, but then the ones that have bad lock stick, i dont need to be up on a wall whith one hand needing to use my knife and cant close it because of lock stick, I need a reliable one handed knife that i can also reliably put away

@bobb.99174 жыл бұрын
You know what I found with the Shiros...I got the knife ...its like $900-1000 or what’ever ...and at that point, it is the most expensive knife that I ever bought...so...initially I was non-plussed ...but as you handle the knife and use it...you “get it”....it is so subtly refined...everything is just “right”...EXCEPT having to use a soldering iron to heat the non-locking pivot to take knife apart, and lube it and set it up the way that you want it....SUPER annoying and huge learning curve. I actually got the pivot and hardware tools from Razor’s Edge and used cellophane as to not damage the knife. Once I finally got it set up (about a year after I bought it.!)...OH BABY!....It’s a hallmark to judge other knives by and I get the Shiro Mystique....definitely
