I remember when Jolt Cola was being sold at Dollar General stores in 2017, & I made a point to buy it every chance I could, cause I had seen the I Love the 80s Strikes Back episode, that featured a segment on it, & I had wanted to try it, ever since seeing it on there. I loved it, & am sad that it's gone again, now. I'm still kicking myself for not trying Crystal Pepsi, the last several times that it was rereleased!!!

Funny thing about Josta: we drank tons of that stuff at my middle school because it was even in the soda machines there. But stopped drinking it almost instantly, when one day someone discovered that if you poured it onto the grass? It would IMMEDIATELY turn the grass, pale white and kill it within seconds. Surge was out when I was in high school. I loved it. Wish they'd bring it back for good. I missed it when they brought it back a few years ago. I liked Pepsi Jazz and I'm not sure if I tried the Dr. Pepper berries n cream or the Black Cherry vanilla Coke. All of those should come back. Loved Kool Aid Bluedini...didn't realize it was discontinued.

I remember having Pepsi blew a couple of times as a kid, I would love to try it now that I’m an adult to see if I actually liked it for the flavor, or if it was just my eight-year-old brain thinking “this pop is blue, awesome”! And they brought it back for a little bit, but of course it wasn’t available in any of the stores remotely near where I live. So, I’m going to have to resort to paying a sort of ridiculous amount on Amazon for Filipino Pepsi blue

There is a reason for most all of these drinks being discontinued, they didn’t sell. My family owned a convenience store in the early 90s to 2009 and I remember a lot of these drinks just taking up space in the cooler. You would have maybe one customer that just loved the drinks, but they wouldn’t even buy a case a month. It just wasn’t worth carrying so many brands and flavors that didn’t sell when you could stock more of the ones that do sell well. But I do remember when Jolt first came out and I was working at a gas station while going to school and it sold very well. We were close to a college campus and there would be a lot of students walking over to grab a few at night. I think Jolt lost a lot of sales when people started drinking more coffee and never had the sales it once had.

And I have the upper mid-west bottling plant (Wis-Pak in Watertown, WI) 15 min from my house and had a friend that worked there for years before retiring in 2015. Occasionally we got to, shall we say, taste-test before public release, but maybe Dr Slice was a regional flavor since Slice was referring to a slice of a fruit.

I remember drinking it before '98 though. It had the Dr. Pepper taste but more of a lighter citrus taste. Not as "thick" as Dr. Pepper if that makes sense.

@Ciara Yung By 2003, the brand had almost completely ceased to exist in the U.S., though one could still find the fruity juice drink at some McDonald's locations. Coca-Cola ultimately decided to phase the brand out due in large part to its lack of sales. Many of the popular flavors were eventually absorbed by Minute Maid this is the main problem but i definitely disagree on this😂

The best soda wad mountain dew pitch black part two that came out as a promotional item for star wars part two. It had a weird mixture that turned pink and then bright blue when it foamed. I sure do miss those old commercials for soda. . Has anyone but me noticed lately that a great majority of TV commercials these days feature a dog - regardless of whether or not the product being advertised has anything to do with dogs? From cleaning products to insurance and everything in between. It's become a cliche. What's even worse are commercials for prescription drugs showing people walking around in garish work-out clothing having conversations about their health problems - and of course at least one of them is walking a dog. Particularly offensive are the ones that show overweight bald guy strolling around carrying a clipboard and high fiving everyone he meets along the way for no discernible reason whatsoever
