Very informative and well-researched. I’ve been an H scarf collector for 25+ years, and I find your channel so interesting.

Hi Maya you are a math genius 👍 Finally I can justify my purchases by telling my husband how cheap these scarves really are!!!!! Perfect excuse for Mother's day gift. 😅🤣😂 thanks and wish you a nice weekend.

This is why my first Hermes scarf purchase was the 90 cm double faced scarf from duty free. Great info! Thanks

I love your channel. You always do a fantastic job! As a guy, I hate the men's scarves. I actually own a Gavroche from the women's collection because of the great design. The twillys are definitely greater than their belts. Fred Astaire was known to wear scarves instead of belts. The double face are such a great example of the technological advancements and craftmanship of Hermès.

So kind of you, thanks for the feedback and fun fact about Fred Astaire ! Delightful to know he wore scarves as belts too 🧡

The 140 x 140 silks are my favourite format followed by the 90cm silks. Great video!

Wonderful video idea! I would argue that the square inch measurement on the double face scarves should be doubled to reflect that you have two usable sides that are totally different. This makes the double faced scarves the best value. xoxo

Too true, Jill, one could easily make that argument 🥰

I loved this subject thank you! I track my wears to try and help me decide what colors and formats I wear most for new purchase decisions. I don't know if that helps because I still buy what strikes me regardless. Occasionally I do the math on cost per wear but haven't considered per inch. Next shopping trip I may try to slip this in with hubby-it is only .38 cents per sq inch nearly free!

Thank you for your informative videos. I personally love to wear scarves, silk scarves, etc. However, I do not own a Hermes scarf (yet) as I am a girl on a budget. But since dreaming is free of charge I will watch and learn from you! I particularly enjoy the visuals on how to tie, knot and wear the scarves and my coworkers seem to look forward to seeing "which airline I will be flying with" on any given day, when I come to work.😊

My first degree, from 1987, was in finance/international business. I STILL think in numbers! I don't feel so nerdy (now) that I used data for my hotel stay in Paris for my bday as well as have a spread sheet for data points on luxury handbags related to price/volume.

I think in numbers too!! I'm on a fixed income. Soo, in order for me to purchase my favorite Hermes scarf , I would need to cut back on using my heat and electricity .( A Hermes silk scarf, would not keep me warm enough in our Minnesota brutal winters) . I presume they have wool scarfs? I wonder if I could wait for a clearance sale?? (I have a feeling that they don't have sales. ) . I wonder if they have a lay away 🤣🤣 plan so I'll be able to at least eat 1 meal a day?? My one year grocery budget, would be the equivalent to my favorite Hermes scarf. If I invest in just a hair scarf then I'm fortunate that I don't have a husband or hungry mouths to feed or else my family would be on a starvation diet. But hey I'll be getting a great deal per square inch, of a designer brand Hermes scarf. I would wear it like a Tierra and wear it proudly!! On the serious side they are very beautiful.... But perhaps my tithing, saving money for a trip, and furnishing my new apartment is more of a priority. Also who's gonna know the difference between a dupe or the real deal . If I go to the fabric store I can get some pretty silk fabric and not break the bank and still eat and keep my lights on, and have water and heat and keep the air conditioning running.

Informative. I do think you should consider a value adjustment for material as cashmere has more value per inch than silk.

You like your Dip Dye Scarf? I just purchased a blue, yellow and white Eperons d'or that had some pink color bleed on it. I only paid $55 for it and have been researching how to dip dye an Hermes scarf. Dip dying really gives new life to classic Hermes scarf designs.
@cranleyplace2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comments and question! I do like the dip dye, it gives the scarf a softness in both color and feel. It came already that way from H, although we do know it is possible to do “by hand” such as they did with the Hermesmatic pop ups a few years back. I’ve never been brave enough to do it on my own, but let me know how it goes for you!
